Even though a big film like Satyagraha released last week, Chennai Express continued its steady ready at the box office. In its 5th week, the film should finally cross the 225 crore mark!

@dinesh vijan, agreed srk took 4 years for a blockbuster. But dont forget aamir took 8 years for his first blockbuster raja hindustani, and 12 years for 2nd blockbuster ghajini. Fven salman took 12 years for a blockbuster from karan arjun to partner as a lead actor. So 4 years is too small as compared to 8 years and 12 years respectively.

Actually 2nd and 3rd week collection records were impossible because of new releases,OUTIMD was one of the most anticipated movie of the year,and madras cafe was praised by the public,even after these releases CE managed to be in top 3 grossing movies of 2nd and 3rd week(just behind 3i and YJHD)…and for overseas a masala movie cant break any record even SRK fans were not expecting for overseas lifetime collection records……..And you played your cards very cleverly by betting on very difficult records unlike many nonsense who were targeting just opening day records
