Enough has been said about Chennai Express, but here is yet another update on a film that is the biggest grosser in the history of Indian Cinema and also the only film in the ‘400 crore club’. It also holds almost every box office record that exists!
Even though a big film like Satyagraha released last week, Chennai Express continued its steady ready at the box office. In its 5th week, the film should finally cross the 225 crore mark!

@sachin11 i like all actors & records are made to be broken but there is no chance for Mental to broke this record, Kick might broke if K3 & D3 did’nt broke CE record.
Its an open challenge to everyone that Mental will not cross CE collection.

nor K3 or D3 will break CE’s record..yes,practically with 3 open weeks D3 has a chance but still it needs to be super consistent in single screens ..the budget is so high for both the films that to become a BB or ATBB is out of question they can just be Super hit still they need to collect 250 cr net to be one. now even for salman’s Kick its not possible to go this high becoz his films fall very badly after 1 week ..ETT was only exception still with 4 open weeks,big holidays,ticket price hiked and huge screens and with almost publicity frm almost 1 year managed 198 cr..so we all know 200 cr is not piece of a cake and to achieve it the film needs to be record grocer in almost all circuits..K3 and D3 are more of multiplex movies and single screens will start falling from second week onward so 170-190 cr is max they can achieve ,yet De can be big in oversease and capable of touching CE figures there..the only movie which seems like has the best chance is Besharam becoz of its genre …lets see after their release :)

To SRK haters, seriously? Now that CE has broken the record by a margin, you’ll are saying wait for K3, D3 & Mental? What happened to all your predictions before the release of CE? & can you disregard the fact that CE was the first & by far only movie to have bagged this record in 4 years?
To SRK fans, please stop saying no film can come close to CE. K3 & D3 most certainly have potential to surpass CE’s lifetime. This is an industry where records are made to be broken, there are sufficiently talented people who deserve returns for their inputs, people like SRK, Salman, Aamir, Akshay, Hrithik and many more… Even if/when CE’s record is broken, don’t worry, SRK’s next will be in line to raise the bar higher.

Although the movie collected huge amount but non of the star from the industry praises the movie non of any critics either so you can understand the quality of movie.

these k3 d3 need hiked up ticket price and also ce had repeat audience for its joke were genuine unlike other sallu movies or other 100 cr movies. now d3 and k3 have hype but defineltly needs single screen audience with that repeat audience a must for it to cross 200cr even thou it has got open weeks. ce had repeat audiece also 3 idiots thats how these movies got there and ce had competition 6th day onwards while 3 idiots had nearly 6 open weeks 4 years back they both bit similar if you see this way of screen counts. m not talking about content in my last line.

He is just two films old, but actor Sushant Singh Rajput says he has already realised the power of cinema, and how it impacts the lives of people.
The 27-year-old, whose second movie Shuddh Desi Romance released on Friday, says his source of inspiration is Bollywood badshah #ShahRukhKhan.
“I told #ShahRukh when I met him that I’m an actor because of him,” Sushant said in a statement.
“When I used to watch his films earlier, I used to feel that acting as a profession is so powerful, you can convince people of something which you’re not. Or maybe it’s so larger than life and you can hide behind all these interesting and exciting characters. But I didn’t take acting seriously then,” he added.
SRKs next movie will be Bhudda ho ga tera baap 2. He is almost 50, and will soon be finished as a top star. Also BOI says 206 crore, so stop lying Indicine.
