Chennai Express has gone past the lifetime collections of Salman Khan’s 2012 Eid release Ek Tha Tiger in just 2 weeks. In the highest grossing films of all time, Chennai Express now stands second, behind Aamir Khan’s 3 Idiots.

Currently, Aamir Khan is at No 1, but that should change tomorrow when Shahrukh Khan’s latest release finally crosses the 202 crore mark. Salman is at No 3. But all this could change with the release of Dhoom 3 and Mental in the next few months. Hrithik Roshan with Krrish 3 is also a contender to take one of the 3 spots!

these news not only made salman bhai fans go totally mental but even their favorite star is having sleepless nights these days. Now he has booked EID 2014 for KICK and trying to capitalize on the DIWALI 2014 period for his film with Prabhu Deva and also MENTAL already slated for the 25rd holiday of JANUARY 2014..all these films may have two to three open weeks like all salman previous films..so it will be a big shock for bhai and his fans if he can’t finally join the 200cr club with one of these films..it won’t be easy i tell u!!!
If u think of 3 idiots u remember good performances of everyone from Sharman joshi , madhvan, boman , kareena to even Chatur.. It was a very well made movie and d credit entirely goes to Rajkumar Hirani and is no way a reflection oF Aamir khan’s stardom..
Since last few years Salman has been dominating the box office but now its safe to say it was due to the masala universal genre and perfect release dates combined with no competiton whereas Srk was doing experimental movies (ra.1, don2, Jthj) or atleast can’t be classified as a masala pot boiler.. And now with one masala movie CE Srk has proved he’s the real king and badshah of bollywood..
CE broke all the records inspite of strong competition and no cheap item number or double meaning jokes to attract single screen crowds. CE success is SRK and his alone..
SRK’s last masala film OSO was d biggest grosser in that time. So we can safely say wenevr SRK will do masala films new records will be made..
Another one down let’s see whom would be SRK compared with nxt after Salman..
