With Chennai Express smashing every possible box office record, Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan threw a lavish party at his residence in Mumbai for the entire cast and crew to celebrate the extraordinary success of the film.
Earlier in the day, Shahrukh tweeted “Yay party tonight with all the people who actually made the film possible. Team #ChennaiExpress all 300 of them. Red & Black & Hair Down!!,” he posted on the micro-blogging site.
With all the hard work finally paying off and the movie still going strong at the box office, King Khan looked extremely happy and was at his entertaining best at the bash. He also ensured that those behind-the-scenes of a film, who don’t usually get the credit they deserve, were also appreciated and honoured for their contribution.
Chennai Express director Rohit Shetty, UTV head Siddharth Roy Kapur along with his team, were also present. However, SRK’s lady love in real life and reel life, Gauri Khan and Deepika Padukone missed the success party.
