Chennai Express is still going strong in Week 3, performing better than this week’s release Madras Cafe in a few circuits. For the family audience, the Rohit Shetty film remains the first choice.
On its 3rd Saturday, Chennai Express has collected Rs 3.61 crore at the domestic box office taking its 16 day total to an all-time record of 206.27 crore. The film jumped by more than 70% on Saturday (from Friday) and is looking at around 6 crores of business on Sunday.
The film has also been declared an ‘All Time Blockbuster’ by the trade, Shahrukh Khan’s third after Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge and Kuch Kuch Hota Hai.

- Second Week – 43.83 crore
- 3rd Friday – 2.12 crore
- 3rd Saturday – 3.61 crore (70% growth)
