Salman Khan currently holds the record for the highest opening day collections on a Holiday (Ek Tha Tiger – 32 cr) and non-holiday (Dabangg 2 – 20.5 cr). But the kind opening that Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani has taken across the country, it could well surpass or get close to the first day business of Dabangg 2 – which released on 10-15% more screens.
It should comfortably beat the opening day collections of other films like Don 2, Rowdy Rathore and this year’s highest grosser Race 2.

Both films are Romantic genre.
