Dharma Productions’ Brothers releases in theatres tomorrow and the film is expected to take a good opening at the box office. The theatrical trailer received a good response, but the song promos that followed weren’t able to sustain the buzz. The much-hyped song ‘Mera Naam Mary’, which was expected to recreate the magic of ‘Chikni Chameli’ also hasn’t done well. In fact, the entire music album has come as a disappointment, which is surprising because the same team (Atul-Ajay-Karan Malhotra) were behind the chartbuster songs of ‘Agneepath’.
Because of its action genre and Akshay Kumar’s presence, Brothers is expected to take a good opening at single-screens and mass centres, but the opening is unlikely to be at the same level at multiplexes. The family audience is unlikely come out in big numbers to watch a film like Brothers, but that could change if the word-of-mouth is good.
#IndicineFBO: We expect Brothers to collect Rs 15.5 crore on its opening day. Saturday is a holiday for Independence Day, so the business of the film should escalate Friday night onwards. Day 2 and Day 3 could be huge if the film is received well.

Family drama in the movie and the name itself should help at bringing the family audience. Sapna Jahan was a nice song, Mary song might have been a success with mass audience.
Anyways, I hope they haven’t added a lot of melodrama in it and kept it as intense as Warriors.

This has been a great year for Akshay . Baby was a outstanding movie and GIB was a solid masala entertainer . Brothers is looking like a solid movie to me . I am a huge fan of Action movies and it will be great to see MMA on screen . One thing is sure the action sequences in Brothers will be brilliant . Agneepath has also had amazing Raw Action Scenes and now Brothers will be one step ahead undoubtedly . Both Baby and GIB had good WOM and that is a reason Brothers will be hugely benefitted . I used to like (still do for some films) but recently I have been a bit disappointed he does so many films a year in order to earn income and most of them have been very disappointing to say the least and I not so happy with what I have seen so far with brothers, the last film I enjoyed with him was Housefull, Housefull 2, nothing since then, so I don’t expect to like this one either.
Just now I saw the movie.. I am big fan of akshay kumar.. director made serious mistakes here. Akshay sir was too good .. I only hope a clean hit after watching it ..not blockbuster or anything. Narrow market . Families will not like this . It’s for men onllllllly.
It will take below average opening. Because it has small star cast and Sid is still not a big superstar even though he plays the lead. So opening will be less than 10 crores. Then only WOM will save this flop film. Mark my words. 100 Cr will be out of reach.
