Bodyguard unleashed at theaters today, opened to a historic response at the box office. From North to South, East to West – Bodyguard is a BLOCKBUSTER.
Unless something goes terribly wrong (negative word-of-mouth), Bodyguard is set to be Khan’s biggest blockbuster to date.
The film opened on Wednesday due to EID and Ganesh Chaturthi, but didn’t release at many single screens today and opened at multiplexes at 1PM – still the opening is expected to be bigger than, hold your breath, the Sunday collections of Dabangg!!!
Khan’s last EID release Dabangg collected 14 crores on Friday, 16 crores on Saturday and 18 crores on Sunday. EID this year is bigger and better as the Day 1 collections of Bodyguard, without a full release, is expected to be between 19 – 20 crores! And we thought the all India market capacity is, at best, around 20 – 22 crores.
History has been made today and it’s Salman yet again headlining what could go on to be India’s biggest blockbuster ever!
