Box office comparison between Bang Bang and Singham Returns is interesting because both films took extraordinary opening at the box office, but failed to sustain well enough to be huge grossers.
Having said that, the weekday collections of Bang Bang are much higher than Singham Returns, which suggests that the film will go on to be a much bigger grosser at the box office. In fact, Bang Bang is just 4 cr short of the lifetime business of the Ajay Devgn starrer.
Some points:
- Both films released on a holiday, Singham Returns on Independence Day considered to be one of the best days for business and Bang Bang on Gandhi Jayanti. The Hrithik starrer had plenty of holidays in its first extended weekend.
- Singham Returns got a solo release, while Bang Bang was released with Shahid Kapoor’s Haider.
- Singham Returns has tremendous brand recall value as the first film ‘Singham’ not only did well at the box office but was also a massive hit on television.
- The budget of Singham Returns was much lower than Bang Bang.

bang bang got superhit verdict ..it is already hit..
Will comfortably beat Singham Returns but not fair comparison coz SR got only 3 holidays including weekend whereas BB got 5 continuos holidays. Budget also mismatch so is number of screens. Compare to D3, K3, Kick & CE Bang Bang has underperformed even after adding Haider collections !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

a movie’s verdict is decided on the business done by its theatrical release which one conclude from the price at which it was sold to distributors. ra.one has a budget of 140 crs.. Uk gave it some subsidy which brought its budget to 115 crs n if um not wrong it was sold to distributors at a price of around 50 crs… it did a business of around 125 crs from all versions n its distributer share was somewhere between 55-65 crs.. datz y it was declared a hit… distributors havnt suffered any losses plus if u r talking abt producers everyone knws how smart n efficient business man shahrukh is.. even b4 the release of ra.one shahrukh recovered his budget wid profits… 50 crs from distributors around 30-35 crs for satellite rights brand tieups led to another 30-40 crs.. music rights 5 crs.. overseas theatrical rights 15-20 crs… add another 4-5 crs for games n ra.one goodies.. which wil bring its total to 160 crs.. den how on earth its a flop?? even wen no one suffered from looses
