Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan has recorded the second highest non-holiday opening of all time, after Aamir Khan’s Dhoom 3, which collected a record-breaking Rs 36.22 crore on a working day in 2013.
In the all time list, which includes both holiday and non-holiday release, Bajrangi Bhaijaan stands at No 7. Ahead of Salman’s last Eid release ‘KICK’ and ‘PK’.

@salmanfan thanks to the great story for the opening of BB and still lower than 30 cr? Better prey that Salman saved this time thanks to good content movie. If it was another shit movie like dabang or bodyguard than opening would have been lower than 20 crowds. And would be big disaster. So better not to worry about aamir’s next dangal as aamir’s name is enough to break all records and raju hirani and dhoom brand need aamir more than aamir need them. Damgal will shatter each and every record of pk because not a single Christmas release of aamir since ghajini has failed to become highest grosser of all time with all time blockbuster verdict.

@gj007 you are right. Today I found out the true colors of Salman fans. They are selfishly using aamir’s name only because currently aamir is holding the records of 2 highest grossers in India and 3 highest grossers in overseas. They know that Salman can not compete with srk in overseas and only aamir is srk’s competetor and he is also ahead of srk now in both India and overseas so that’s why they are using him to fight with srk fans. But in reality they are too jealous of aamir as BB could break D3’s opening day record neither kick could as kick had similar genre as dhoom 3.
Watched the movie last show last night then had to work but all night long I couldnt forget the drama I saw in BB..!
My Review.
BB is a real tear jerker- munni/ shahida was so cuuuuuuute- absolute darling- real show stealer n without saying a word just proves acting isnt about hamming or shouting out your dialogues or overacting- such subtledy which can be argued has only been seen by Darsheel from TZP…! Top notch acting n great directing by Kabir to get her to smile when audiences needed to see her smile n to get her to show sadness just to make audiences cry. We could feel her joy n sadness n happiness too. Amazing job Kabir. PS Shes a dead cert to win awards next yr.
On to nawaz- what can I say- loved his act throughout- for once I agree with Indicine that the ending was OTT- a more realistic ending would have been Pak police shooting bhai n story slowly unwinding thereafter with Munni speaking n saying ‘love You bhaijaan’ perhaps or Shahidas parents n Pak ppl showing their gratitude towards Bajrangi risking his life to bring a pakistani muslim girl back to Pakistan but then again such endings wouldnt have appeased the Indian movie going /bhai audience. The ending aside was being a tad ott but still the very last scene once again made tears rain down- just loved it and you feel like you yourself lived that moment too. The opening sequence made me cry n the ending also. Bits in the middle were too emotional like that agent trying to sell Munni n when bhai realises what is happening I too felt rage n also sadness. The border scene was too funny n Nawaz n ‘begums’ dialogue was too hilarious.
All in all I cant give this movie 5 stars bcoz afew songs didnt fit in right for me which just made the film drag. The situational song that appears here n there was great. Ending could have been crispier but it worls in a cinematic sense n will appease the masses no doubt.
Not going to go higher than 4 but wont give it 3.5 as I felt film was abit better that what indicines review had me believing so splitting the difference I will give it 3.75 for now. PS going to watch it again with family today so may reserve my final verdict til later on tonight as a second view is a must. Repeat value is there n entertainment is guaranteed.
