Bajrangi Bhaijaan has become the first Salman Khan film to take an extraordinary opening in the overseas markets. The film has collected Rs 51 crore in its opening weekend and is likely to surpass the lifetime overseas total of Salman’s previous highest grosser KICK (Rs 70 crore) in its first week itself.
In a sign of growing overseas popularity, Salman films will now be competing with those of Shahrukh Khan. Happy New Year, which is the 6th highest overseas grosser of all time, collected Rs 101 crore overseas and that record could be surpassed by Bajrangi Bhaijaan.
There is also an outside chance for the film to challenge the overseas records of some of the biggest grossers in Indian Cinema – 3 Idiots, My Name Is Khan and Chennai Express.
Bajrangi Bhaijaan has also grossed Rs 226 crore worldwide (4 days India collections, 3 days overseas collections). It should eventually go on to be Salman’s first 400 crore grosser and possibly his first 500 crore grosser too!

The reason could be since US,UAE and other countries where Indian films release have Pakistani diaspora in huge no. too and since Bajrangi Bhaijaan has quite a lot of Pakistan involved,both Indians and Pakistanis have flocked the theatres..

On Monday Bajrangi Bhaijaan’s collections are a record highest for a Non Holiday with only Krrish 3 collecting more on a monday due to it being a national holiday.
With the Monday numbers Bajrangi Bhaijaan has crossed 200 crores worldwide gross in just 4 days.
Even PK which had a great trend only collected 21 Crores on its Monday which shows Bajrangi Bhaijaan has good word of mouth.
Normal movies drop between Friday and Monday by 50% but for Bajrangi Bhaijaan the drop seen is only 6% showing very good trend.
Delhi has increased entertainment tax which will effect Bajrangi Bhaijaan a bit but it is offset by the fact that Bajrangi Bhaijaan is now tax free in U.P.
This are the dangerous pair from my think of view: For salman its sooraj and kabir, for srk it is rohit, karan johar and aditya chopra, for legend aamir it is hirani(he does not repeat with the same director he prefer different) for ajay it is rohit and for hrithik it is his dad rakesh sir. What do you say guys? If i am wrong you can change and say me which director pair work with these actors. I was thinking yesterday that bb would be free on monday on the nearby theater so that i could go and watch the movie but there was a huge craze so yesterday also i did not watch the movie. I will try again today. When it come to craze in public this man cannot be beaten by the other actor i do not no why so craze for this actor even if he does not make a good movie? I feel that is why he is called the hero of the masses.

Really unbelievable collections, most importantly the oversees figures. This shows that people now loves to watch Good quality & entertaining films regardless of the brand or production value.
Aamir/Srk/Sk will assure 100cr in 3days but it takes a Script to climb to 300cr.

These are exceptional collections . For the first time in 5 years a Salman movie has done bumper business in Overseas . According to this article BB has done 27 CR yesterday . If BB goes at this pace then it can definitely challenge PK’s record . The only problem with BB is that PK had 3 open weeks and BB has 2 open weeks . Drishyam is releasing on 31st July . It is looking like a solid content oriented movie . I know it will not get huge opening but WOM will play a huge role in the success of Drishyam . So BB has to outstanding business in 2nd week to challenge PK’s record . At this trend i am very much sure it will beat the collections of Dhoom 3 . This will be Salman’s 1st 400 CR Worldwide Grosser .
