Update: With figures from night shows coming in, Bajrangi Bhaijaan has shown record breaking growth on 2nd Saturday. The film is now looking at a total of 18 crore plus. This is humongous because Bajrangi Bhaijaan is set to record higher collections than both Dhoom 3 and PK on their respective second Saturday’s. At a Mangalore multiplex, the film collected Rs 1,48,030 on Friday, compared to Rs 2,73,140 i.e nearly 84% growth. A exhibitor from Valsad, Gujarat, says the film has grown by nearly 3 times on Saturday.
Bajrangi Bhaijaan has shown excellent growth in business on Saturday. While the morning shows were at around the same level as yesterday (2nd Friday), the film has showed excellent growth evening onwards.
The film is looking at a total of around Rs 18-19 crore, depending on how well the night shows perform at multiplexes on Saturday.
The Kabir Khan directed film has gone past the lifetime collections of Salman’s 3rd highest grosser ‘Ek Tha Tiger’, it has also beaten the lifetime business of ‘3 Idiots’ and ‘Happy New Year’.
The film is Salman’s second consecutive 200 crore grosser, something that Shahrukh Khan achieved first with ‘Chennai Express’ and ‘Happy New Year’, and Aamir Khan’s followed it up with ‘Dhoom 3’ and ‘PK’.
Bajrangi Bhaijaan has one other major record to its credit. The film is now the highest grossing Salman Khan film worldwide, as the gross figures of KICK has been surpassed.

Old man I upped my rating from 3.75 to 4 stars after second viewing. I wont ‘manipulate’ my rating any futther even after last nights show with family- movie deserves ahigher rating but it was what it was then a wk ago n thats fine with be.

Well said @Romeo2015! Sorry at 1st I put dislike on yr 1st comment but when reading yr 2nd comment I understood where u were heading too. Well you see @Romeo2015;d truth is just like how d 3 khans are indispensable the same applies to Ajay and Akshay. Salman Shah rukh and Aamir are always mentioned in every articles by users fans but if you above critically since following @indicine, after the khans it’s ajay and akki fan wars always! Even in non related articles? Simple,it means both are powerful celebrities too! No Akki fan in his full sense will disrespect Ajays acting capabilities as Bollywood also refers him as dark horse after the khans. His achievements are pretty solid considering his debut who cos of looks many wrote him off but credit to his versatility all those are history. Forget his recent flops the fact is an honest fan appreciates his contribution from so many movies. The same goes for Akshay,an average ajay fan can’t say akki is lower than ajay.
