Update: With figures from night shows coming in, Bajrangi Bhaijaan has shown record breaking growth on 2nd Saturday. The film is now looking at a total of 18 crore plus. This is humongous because Bajrangi Bhaijaan is set to record higher collections than both Dhoom 3 and PK on their respective second Saturday’s. At a Mangalore multiplex, the film collected Rs 1,48,030 on Friday, compared to Rs 2,73,140 i.e nearly 84% growth. A exhibitor from Valsad, Gujarat, says the film has grown by nearly 3 times on Saturday.
Bajrangi Bhaijaan has shown excellent growth in business on Saturday. While the morning shows were at around the same level as yesterday (2nd Friday), the film has showed excellent growth evening onwards.
The film is looking at a total of around Rs 18-19 crore, depending on how well the night shows perform at multiplexes on Saturday.
The Kabir Khan directed film has gone past the lifetime collections of Salman’s 3rd highest grosser ‘Ek Tha Tiger’, it has also beaten the lifetime business of ‘3 Idiots’ and ‘Happy New Year’.
The film is Salman’s second consecutive 200 crore grosser, something that Shahrukh Khan achieved first with ‘Chennai Express’ and ‘Happy New Year’, and Aamir Khan’s followed it up with ‘Dhoom 3’ and ‘PK’.
Bajrangi Bhaijaan has one other major record to its credit. The film is now the highest grossing Salman Khan film worldwide, as the gross figures of KICK has been surpassed.

BB GOES TO HIGHEST SECOND WEEKEND
AS BOI SAYS —
Bajrangi Bhaijaan is set a new second weekend record as the film continues to show phenomenal trend with second Saturday growth set to be around 50% plus. The collections should go to to 19-20 crore nett on Saturday which will give it around 32 crore nett over two days in the second weekend.
PK had grossed 53 crore nett in its second weekend and unless Sunday goes wrong which is very unlikely it is sure to have a second weekend record and it could be by a margin.
Bajrangi Bhaijaan is on course to chase down the lifetime total of PK and the ways it is going its will about the the third and fourth week with the all important day being the third Friday.

Couldn’t stop smile when I read that srk became first actor to give back to back 200cr grosser followed by Aamir and Salman. Let me clear the article more appropriate while Aamir is only actor who scored two back to back 200&250cr films, and Salman is second to give 200cr grossers back to back. Moreover as the things stand today After Aamir its Salman who is looking to second actor who first touched 200cr with one film and touched 300cr with next film. Huge jump.
BB is looking rock solid to touch and go 300 cr mark, pk is almost out of reach but can’t say 100% will bb can match pk.
The best way of Aamir to safe his record is that he breaks the record and create new ones with a margin, the gap of pk and d3 is still 64cr. That will be huge task to any film to topple pk after crossing d3. But Salman will become the second actor to reach 500 cr ww, only thing i want to see will BB worldwide business can outshine d3 ww of 550cr+.
