Varun Dhawan’s Badlapur has done well in its first week, with net box office collections of Rs 37.75 crore. The film opened very well last Friday, showed good growth on Saturday and held steady on Sunday even though it competed against a cricket match.
Weekdays were always going to be crucial for the film and Badlapur passed the test with flying colours. The Sriram Raghavan film was steady throughout the week.
Despite competition from new releases like Dum Laga Ke Haisha and Ab Tak Chappan 2 this week, Badlapur has held steady at the box office this morning. If the film picks up towards the end of the day, it could beat the collections of both the new releases.
Badlapur is the first ‘Clean Hit’ of 2015 and the only film to recover all its costs through theatrical business.

Badlapur is an average film .. So is its verdict .. Badlapur will settle around 45-50cr lifetime and it will be declared average or above average ..BOI figure will be less ..
I don’t know why @indicine gave its verdict … It is average.. Its landing cost is on higher side …..
As for 2015 , Baby is the best film upto this 3 months… And no HIT in first 3 months …
