Varun Dhawan’s Badlapur has taken a good start at the box office on Friday. In fact, the opening at major cities in India was better than a big release like Akshay Kumar’s Baby, even though Badlapur was an ‘adults only’ dark revenge drama.
Badlapur has managed to take the second best opening at multiplexes this year after Roy and the film could cross the 6-7 crore mark if evening / night shows pick up.
Initial reports from the morning shows are good and the film has received critical acclaim too.
Approx morning show occupancy of films released in 2015. Do note that massy films like Tevar usually take a better opening in the morning, while films like Baby and Badlapur take slower starts and pick up as the day progresses.

The ending has disappointed many ppl like babuji but this was the guy who completely loved the ending of MSG even though after 2 mins of watching that crap everyone knew what the ending was going to be…
watched the movie and little bit disappointed by the movie story was good but slow,some scenes are too shocking for me you can,t take your family in this movie at any risk,twists and turns are very good,music is great and so its picturisation but i adore most in this movie are top class performances by everyone nawaz is out of the world what an amazing acting infact he is the real hero of this movie he clearly outshine varun dhawan and audience are clapping and whistling in his every dialogue the best performance of the year also varun has done very good job but not great, i loved the performance of radhika apte most in females huma was also good so as divya. overall good movie but not great i had very high expectation from badlapur but it disappoints me little bit. 2.5/5. For me baby is by far the best movie of the year till now.
My rating is 1 out of 5 bcoz although acting of Nawaz and Radhika did great acting bt story was so flawed and with out any logic specially at sudden in the climax honest police officers demands bribe and varun left his badla and took 2.5 Crore. extremly Valgure scenes and blood violence …so crappy movie except one good song Jee karda

3) Varun dhawan is decent.
Negatives:-
1) No ups and downs..plain story
2) little boring
3) little or no background score.
Personally. .I went to theatre with good expectations but it was okay type of movie…it was disappointing.
But star performances saved the movie.
