Akshay Kumar’s Baby has collected Rs 11.17 crore on its second day at the box office, as per figures released by T-Series. The film has shown decent growth of around 26%, which sets it up well for the next two days (both holidays).
The business over the next three days will decide the film’s fate at the box office. Tuesday will be crucial too as the costs, like we have mentioned before, are on the higher side. So the film will have to do well this week and continue to remain steady next weekend too.
Due to its genre, Baby has under-performed at mass-centres, most of the business is coming from multiplexes in cities. The word-of-mouth at big cities in circuits like Mumbai, Mysore, East Punjab and Delhi/UP is good and these circuits will be driving the business of the film in the next few days.

- Saturday – 11.17 cr (25.8% growth)
- Total – 20.47 cr

Akshay Kumar has lost his STARDOM doing continuously BAKWAAS movies. I am unable to see here rest you can wait for others released. {Main Gabbar & SING IS BLING}. Only 3 Holidays can save some Grace otherwise Baby will be first flop for Akshay in 2015.

The two thrilers that released before Baby D day and madaras cafe life times were around 30crs, so if Baby do more than 85crs its because of akk’s star power. So saying he has no star value is idiotic, spy thrillers are very tricky genre which apeals to minority sections of audience. Don’t tell tell me ek the tiger that film had chatbuster songs like MashaAllah and was more like masala genre.Even don2 failed at Christmas so was kites. I think akshay is slowly maturity to a good and a very respectable person we should respect him instead of calling him names like flop and 60cr king. even salman thinks doing 4 movies a year is not a joke.
crap movies of khans earning more than 200cr but movies like OMG, Holiday. special26 and Baby struggle to earn 100cr… CE,hny, jai ho, kick r rubbish movies. pk is the most overrated movie..copy of OMG same story n dialogues nothing new but still it earned 300cr. incredible india..public is fool

Watched BABY last night….it was spectacular..gripping story line and direction that keeps u engaged throughout the movie…after an average 1st half the post interval was just outstanding…
Akshay’s performance reminded me of sangharsh,,,he actually was looking like a detective..very convincing…both body language and dialogues.
PS Magnificent cinematography and no repeated jokes and comedy :p the very few comic scenes had great humor in it.One can undoubtedly say now that Neeraj Pandey is best director we have for a thriller who can make us engaged without unnecessary naach gana and eye candies.
A very Good one time must watch for this republic day.

i saw baby it is a poor copy of zero dark thirty and argo. climax is a letdown didnt expect this from neeraj pandey i will give 2star out of 5.for me sarfarosh will remain the best film in terror genre.

I think Baby should attain Hit status in coming weeks… Because of super engaging story line and power full performances from entire cast.. I saw it yesterday and believe me people through outly enjoyed Baby.. Although it won’t work in SS as in multiplexes due to low entertainment for mass audience but still it will win lot of hearts.. Bravo Neeraj pande and akshay kumar for attempting such a risky movie.. Way to go bollywood

I am really disappointed with the collections of Baby. I am an Akshay fan but he has lost his stardom by doing few crap films. Now he is learning so it will take some time to gain the trust of audience.
After trending for two months in twitter, overwhelming good review by critics Baby opened with only 9+ cr. So, those all those trends in twitter is a part of promotion from the producer. Here i think, main culprit is akshay kumar, giving crap after crap, that one good attempt lost under the crap. General ticket paying people has zero faith on akshay and akshay die hard fan are more active on internet, mostly download his movies from torrent, hardly watch in theater.

The current superstars who can carry both a movie or a show (even mediocre movies or shows) entirely on their shoulders irrespective of the other pros & cons associated with the movie or the show that’s why I didn’t name big b & aamir, without any doubt the legendary big b is the greatest tv host the Indian TV industry ever saw, his charisma, aura, energy, presence & personality is just unmatched & unparalleled, he is in a different league altogether where probably only very few can ever dream of joining , it was indeed the big b who revolutionized the reality shows on Indian TV but with all due respect to him , currently he is not a superstar whose name itself would sell the movie (big b’s inclusion in any movie would definitely add more interest & credibility to the movie but again only very few people would pay to watch big b’s performance if the movie turns out to be mediocre) , so big b as a TV host is incomparable to anyone, he can single handedly carry any show (not just KBC, even the epic flop reality shows like Zor ka zatka & KAPPH would have had garnered much much better trp ratings had big b hosted them instead of our SSS’s su… su….su’s charlie king :D) with his energy & charisma but not a movie.
Big b is the greatest TV host ever & salman is the 2nd best (big boss is actually an unbearable irritating crap show like every Su..Su…Su…SSS charlie srk’s movie but it was such a record breaking show only because of salman hosting it , there’s no denying the fact and salman’s hosting in dus ka dum was as spell bounding as big b’s in KBC :) )
Now coming to my favorite aamir khan, the most trusted & bankable superstar . Aamir in movies & aamir in TV shows are rarely very different, he is the one heeds to his heart & follows it , the kind of trust & loyalty that aamir has created for himself with his audience is just astounding, its like we simply & blindly believe in aamir & his product , he can also single handedly carry a movie or show on his shoulders but there were hardly any instances where he actually did so, aamir is called Mr.perfect for a good reason but that is also his biggest bane , because his script selection & quality of movies are so incredible he hardly had a need to carry an entire movie on his shoulders , can we ever associate aamir with anything mediocre? never!
the same can be said about SMJ show, as a host aamir was excellent, he showed warmth & he was emotional but few times I felt that the emotions looked unreal, few times he couldn’t connect as good as he should have connected with the people , having said that except aamir & probably salman no one could have hosted it better!
Hrithik has all it takes to carry a mediocre film single handedly on his shoulders , k3 & bang bang clicked mainly because of him, his reality dance show ‘just dance’ was fairly successful & his hosting skills were well admired , as a host he may not connect well with masses like salman or big b but his connect with the classes & youth is better than both big b & salman, he can host a show like KBC or a show like Big boss or a show like just dance or even a show like Charlie’s floppies like ZKJ or KAPPH & make them successful in his own style. hrithik is no doubt a smaller superstar than charlie srk but hrithik is a much better actor & entertainer than the charlie. salman,aamir & hrithik hardly promoted their movies like jai ho & kick, dhoom 3 & PK , k3 & bang bang respectively like the way our charlie did for ce & especially hny, only an actor who is very insecure or is not sure about his movie will over-promote the movie like how our charlie did for hny , genuine superstars like aamir, salman or hrithik believe in their fans & their movies and so they don’t over-promote the movie even if it is too good or too mediocre, real superstars!
