‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’ is a once-in-a-lifetime film. The release circumstances are extraordinary and unprecedented. Never before has a film brought together audience from almost every film industry in the country, crossing language barriers and setting the stage for the country’s biggest cinematic moment.
In a country where film industries are almost entirely star-driven, S.S Rajamouli has brought the nation together like B.R Chopra did with the television series Mahabharat – which shattered television records back in the late 1980s when it was aired.
As far as the theatrical release is concerned, almost every factor is in favour of the film. Everyone wants to watch it and most want to watch it on the first day itself – which has led to record advance booking ticket sales, breaking the previous records set by BookMyShow, Multiplex chains and even single-screen theatres.
In fact, a special advertisement space has been created under ‘Baahubali 2’ posters outside several single-screen cinema halls and those spaces are selling for lakhs of rupees.
As far as the first day collections are concerned – ‘Baahubali 2’ is expected to shatter the lifetime records of all dubbed films, barring the first Baahubali film. The highest grossing dubbed south Indian film is Rajnikanth’s Kabali which collected Rs 27 crore in the Hindi markets – that record will be history on Friday.
The Hindi version alone could also challenge the non-holiday opening of the biggest of Hindi films – including Dhoom 3. All versions together, ‘Baahubali 2’ is likely to cross 100 crore net and we could well be looking at a 300 crore weekend from all languages – although a drop could come on Saturday.
Factors that should ensure a record-breaking opening for Baahubali 2:
- One of the most hyped Indian films of all time.
- Crosses language barriers, making it the biggest ever Pan-India film.
- Hiked ticket prices.
- Widest ever release for an Indian film.
- Blockbuster on television.
- Most want to watch the film before the suspense (why Kattappa killed Baahubali) is broken.
- Baahubali 2 is a big screen experience, which automatically reduces the impact of piracy.
The only factor against the film is the fact that tomorrow is a working day.
IndicineFBO: We are going with Rs 33 crore as the first day collections of the Hindi version of ‘Baahubali 2’.
Side Note: We won’t be reviewing ‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’. No review can do justice to the Rajamouli magnum-opus. Those who liked the first film will watch it anyway and the few who didn’t will skip it. Stay tuned for the box office updates.

@indicine
“We won’t be reviewing ‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’.”
then Why did you review Raju Hirani’s PK ?
Plz answer .
Please review it indicine don’t act as a child I am gonna wait for your honest review then only i will watch it in theatre otherwise I am gonna watch a pirated version and will find out myself why that dickhead kill bahubali and then I will go to mc donalds and give my friends a treat in the name of indicine you will get their blessings in return.
Hi just watched BB 2 in Dubai. Below expectations . Few parts are ok but as a whole could have been better if length was a bit short. Few things were stretched for no reason and due to that ending was shortened. 3/5
@Raja many dont know that the movie is realeasing today in north india or north Antartica check the advance booking of the hindi version
most overrated film bahubali
Pravash is biggest star in india now now like criminal who came eid and said he is star
@ navina, it will also collect more than many flops and disasters of gangu teli Salman.hahaha
Totally over-hyped movie
Bahubali was an avarage movie at best
Nothing spectacular (some scenes were laughable)
You said wrong it doesn’t effect that it is releasing on working day. The one who wants to watch it can go. And after all summer vacations have also started.
@abinash I was just comparing the reality with the overhyped article of indicine, i know the advance booking is great for hindi version thats why I typed 20-25 crore collection on opening day what do you think is it easy to collect 25 crores on non holiday in north india if the people doesn’t know about the film.
At last all records will break by Robot 2.0.
