9:30AM Update: Baaghi seems to have surprised at mass centres. With more figures coming in, the film seems to have collected around 11.5 crore on Friday.
Baaghi has collected Rs 11.5 crore on Day 1 (Friday) at the box office. The film has performed well at mass-centres, including circuits like Rajasthan, Bihar, UP, C.P Berar and C.I.
The big advantage for the film was its content. There hasn’t been a youth action films in recent times and the opening of Baaghi seems to suggest that there was a ‘thirst’ for a massy film at smaller centres.
Shraddha Kapoor’s presence has also helped the film on its opening day at the box office, as her last few films like ‘Aashiqui 2’, ‘Ek Villain’ and ‘ABCD 2’ opened well at single screens. Tiger Shroff and his out-and-out action image too has a fairly decent following.
It’s a good first day for Baaghi, but it remains to be seen how the film performs on Saturday and Sunday. There is immense potential for growth at multiplexes, because multiplex business remained flat throughout the day with ‘The Jungle Book’ still being the first choice for cine goers. Growth on Saturday would mean the multiplex audience too is coming out to watch the film.

If Newcomers can give this huge opening with a film comparatively low budgeted, low-promoted and released on non holiday, then there is something seriousl wrong with Bhagoda Meow Bhai’s stardom who gave 19 Crores opening with a film high-budgeted, smartly promoted and released on a partially holiday with higher ticket rates in more screens..

Tiger is the next big action hero. I hope we will see him with Vidyut in an action movie. Shradhha has got a decent fan following, Tiger’s image as action hero and the film’s USP, ‘action’, has worked in its favor. I’m expecting it to hold on pretty well.

The action scenes performed by sudhir babu and tiger shroff was quite reccomendable. Tiger to martial arts nd dance me trained . The plus point of moovies is ki vha koi dasili story or dasile dialogs nhi he.. complete pakage of entertainment.
