B-Town condemns Uri attack, offers condolences to martyrs’ kin

Bollywood celebrities like Shah Rukh Khan, Shekhar Kapur, Riteish Deshmukh and Adnan Sami have offered condolences to the families of the Uri attack martyrs and demanded a strong action against the attackers.

Terrorists sneaked into an army camp here in Jammu and Kashmir early on Sunday and slaughtered 17 soldiers in the worst attack in a decade on a military centre in the state.

According to military officials, over two dozen soldiers were also injured in the audacious attack that left all four heavily-armed militants who barged into the camp near Uri town at 5.30 a.m. dead after two-and-half hours gun battle.

Apart from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other political leaders, various Bollywood celebrities have also condemned the attack on Twitter.

Here’s what the celebrities tweeted:

Shah Rukh Khan: Saddened to hear of the cowardly attack in Uri. Prayers for the families of our martyred soldiers. And may the terrorists be punished soon.

Riteish Deshmukh: Deepest condolences to the families of Uri attack martyrs who laid down their lives fighting for their motherland.

  • Instead of Burying those Terrorists, BURN them in front of those Separatists in Kashmir.
So that a clear message could be send to the Father’s of these terrorists that avoid play Religion game on the name of Terrorists.
    A Terrorist is a Terrorist..

  • Salute to bravehearts who have done a supreme sacrifice for the country. India should declared a war against Pakistan let them teach a lesson which they remember for generation to come. Also we all should launch a war against Pakistan on Twitter

  • I don’t know why we are tolerating these bullshit so easily. Indian government should take a strong action against Pak and other who support terrorism. For how long we tolerate this and out soldiers die because of it.

  • sad 17 soldiers sahid
    its not about soldiers

  • Whoever harms India is my enemy. There’s no Mercy for them. To forgive or punish the terrorists is to Bhagwan but to send them to Bhagwan is Indian army’s duty.

117 terrorists and 90 terrorist supporters have been dispatched to hell by the Indian army in 2016 till now if they think we’ll get scared after such attacks they’re damm wrong, they’re gonna pay for this Jai Hind.

  • Rakesh Roshan revealed his plans of reviving the Krrish franchise and releasing the fourth instalment in Christmas 2018, social media has been abuzz with the filmmaker’s clash with a Shah Rukh Khan film, yet again. Roshan has already announced his intention of releasing Krrish 4 against Aanand L Rai’s SRK starrer. As readers are aware, the first box-office face-off between the Roshans and SRK will be Kaabil and Raees (which Shah Rukh Khan is producing with Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani) as both are scheduled to release on Republic Day 2017.

Conceding that he read about the Christmas 2018 clash between Krrish 4 and SRK’s film on social media, Roshan Sr says, “If Shah Rukh is releasing his film on that day, I will shift. It is unethical for me to come on the date he has already announced for his movie.” However, he’s in no mood to shift Kaabil, as he states, “I had announced the date for Kaabil earlier. If they are coming on the same date, then I can’t do anything about it.”

Rakesh adds, “As far as Shah Rukh is concerned, he’s like a younger brother to me. I gave him a break in King Uncle (1993), and then worked with him in Karan Arjun (1995) and Koyla (1997). God has given him everything in life, for his talent and ethics. Knowing him, I don’t think he will do anything unethical. I don’t know what they will eventually decide.”

Reiterating that it would be unethical on his part to release his Krrish 4 on a date announced by another actor-filmmaker first, he says, “We’re here to make films, not create controversies. There is still time for Krrish 4. If Shah Rukh has announced it and is coming on that date, then I won’t release my film on the same date.”

When probed if he would shift Kaabil from Republic Day if SRK requests, Roshan maintains, “I don’t budge my release date. When Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai was releasing on January 14, 2000, Aamir Khan’s Mela was coming on January 7, Shah Rukh Khan’s Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani on January 21 and Anil Kapoor’s Pukar on February 4. Some distributors suggested I move my film as Hrithik was a newcomer. They left the film as I didn’t change my release date.”

  • All religion were made so that people stay together and care for each other, but here we have people killing each other.

This is not religion, but these are done by just power hungry and egoistic people who have only their selfish goals to achieve………religion is a big mask they wear to give a false identity.

I hope people one day understand that only caring and sharing for each other can take humanity to a higher level.

  • Whatever happened is totally wrong & feels good that B-town condemn it…But where are the Heroes of Bollywood, when people of Kashmir valley are dying everyday, are they not human being?…their toll of death is now went beyond 80…I am not in favor of separatist, but all from valley are not in support of separation…they want autonomy in their state & not carfue…govt. is not taking any solid action against it & solve issue properly. If this the situation to remain, then such attach are going to happen in future….we are responsible for it ,for the killings of our army, for the killing of our people..

  • My heart goes out for the family members of martyred soldiers….. Hope this ends someday.. And why dont our government electrify the border like Israel. Is this your aache din Mr Modi.

  • Am so deeply and kindly agreeing with SRK Tweet as

“Saddened to hear of the cowardly attack in Uri. Prayers for the families of our martyred soldiers. And may the terrorists be punished soon”

  • It’s high time, we should take some substantial action. No doubt, the diplomatic initiatives taken by current government are quite encouraging so far, but thatt might turn into a never ending process due to number of stakeholders involved.
Though a direct war is not feasible since both the countries are equipped with atomic weapons, at least we can initiate surgical strikes like the one we facilitated in Myanmar last year.
Next, instead of condemning Pakistan, we should first try and execute those traitors who are termed as ‘Separatists’ by few Sick-ular political parties. Terrorist insurrection is not possible without the help of these insiders and we all know who is fueling and funding these attacks from within our territory.

@A.B 11:02 AM : Let Rakesh Roshan and ALR go to hell.
17 of our brave soldiers were burnt alive and you are still concerned about SRK and Hrithik? You can continue these discussions on other articles of indicine.

  • Which is the biggest threat to our nation :

    1. Pakistan
    2. Terrorism
    3. Insurgency
    .
    .
    .
    None!!!

The biggest threat is these so called Sick-ulars and ugly vote bank politics.
Within hours of attack, that illiterate fodder eater from Bihar came with an statement saying current government is failed on national security.
And he is the same Sick-ular person who even tried to prove Batla house encounter fake and left no stone unturned to prove that Ishrat Jahan (a hard core terrorist) was a normal Muslim girl who was killed in communal violence and not in a police operation.
The same Sick-ulars will start crying like a widow, when our security forces use pallet guns in their self defence, but they don’t see what kind of atrocities is being carried out on the people of Baluchistan.
These same Sick-ulars came with a theory saying Mumbai attacks were planned by a Hindu organisation just to malign the image of CON-gress.

I mean if we have such traitors within us, do we need a Hafiz or Burhan or whole Pakistan for that matter?
These traitors are enough to destroy the unity and integrity of our nation.

  • FOCUS ON OUR MISTAKES. How many will be killed for Jammu & Kashmir? 1 Lac Kashmiris, Lacs of Indians & Pakistanis already killed.
