Aurangzeb has collected Rs 4 crore on it’s opening day at the box office. The business was slightly lower than Arjun Kapoor’s last release Ishaqzaade, which collected Rs 4.5 crore on it’s first day.
The difference was the popularity of music. While Ishaqzaade had chartbusters like Pareshaan, the music of Aurangzeb didn’t really catch up.
Having said that, Rs 4 cr on Friday is still a decent figure for a Arjun Kapoor starrer. The film has done well in the North (Delhi, UP, Punjab). The reports are good, so the film is likely to collect around Rs 14 crore in it’s first weekend.
