Q. How has Tamasha performed in overseas markets?
A. Tamasha has done well in the overseas markets. The two-day business, including paid previews, is around Rs 14-15 crore (without including Saturday collections from North America). Weekend business should cross the $4 million mark. Ranbir and Deepika have a fairly good following overseas and Imtiaz Ali films also get a good opening outside India.
Q. Rate the ‘Bajirao Mastani’ Theatrical trailer, with negatives and positives – Raghav
A. 9 on 10. Fantastic trailer. Positives would be the massive scale, grandeur, war scenes, performances from the lead cast, promises to be a visual treat on the big screen. Negatives, trailer should have been shorter and VFX wasn’t upto the mark in a few scenes.
Q. You had written in your Tamasha Box office article that Ranbir and his fans would be hoping Sanjay Dutt biopic goes on the floor soon. Do you think the film can open well enough to sustain in longer run (assuming the trailer of the film is impressive) because this is neither a sequel to a super-hit film (like Lage Raho Munna Bhai) nor does it have a superstar backing (like Aamir in 3 Idiots and PK) – Gaurav
A. Rajkumar Hirani is a superstar director. His value to a film is probably as much or more than a big star, because not only will his films get a good initial at the box office, but also sustain well enough to do well in the long run – assuming that he continues to be in the same form as his last 4 films. He has already promised that ‘Sanjay Dutt biopic’ would be the most entertaining film of his career and irrespective of the star cast, it would be the most awaited film of the year that it releases in. The only non-superstar and non-franchise film that he directed was ‘Munnabhai M.B.B.S’ and that was his debut film. In short, even if Hirani happens to cast a debutant actor, his film should still easily manage a 15-20 crore opening.

A. (NORMAL NON-HOLIDAY Case.) { Subtracting All those factors if the PRDP would release in non festive season don’t you think it would hardly manage to collect 110-120 crore because BB collected around 27 crore on 1st day with “excellent” occupency and positive WOM afterwards, and PRDP might 25 max with “very good” occupency but Mixed WOM afterwards and then there would have been a steep fall which was noticed even in the favorable season n decline with each passing day.}
B. (Even worse Case with Clash etc.) {And What if it would release with
1.Reasonable Clash
2. Non Holiday realease
3. 3300 Screens (due to clash
4. 2nd week New release
it might struggle to surpass even 90 crore.
I have not stated following factors

as that would have remain there certainly no matter if it’s festive season or not plus those are something which the duo earned themselves not luck factors like those mention earlier.

sir before dabbang of 2010 salman khan non of the movies did well ,,,janeman, god tussi grat ho,veer,there are lots of flop movie and after dabbang non of his flims has seen failures even all are the blockbuster success rate is more than 95% and before it may be 25% so how its happen , what was the change after dabbang !!!!

supposedly, a movie is made on the budget of 100 crore, and the movie earns 150 crore in its lifetime . Of course the money will be divided between producers, distributors and actor etc …
so can u tell me kindly what will be verdict of that 100 crore budget movie .
