Actor Arjun Kapoor has opted out of ‘Talaash’ director Reema Kagti’s next, due to his dates clashing with his upcoming film with Yash Raj Films.
Reema, who had previously approached Saif Ali Khan for the same role, met Arjun for a narration at Excel Entertainment’s office in Santa Cruz. Co-writer Zoya Akhtar and producer Ritesh Sidhwani were also present.
While Arjun liked the script of the film, Reema wanted to start shooting in May, which is also the time when his film with YRF goes on floors.
Only Kangana Ranaut has been signed for the film so far.

The biggest joke I ever had if Baby stared arjun kapoor and Rk it would have have done 125cr and 200cr respectively. Do some people really understand genre or commercial aliments of a movie, Baby had no songs, comedy, and it only heard realistic raw action. Only the 3 khans (legends) and hrithik could’ve done better with Baby and I also doubt it they would have made it cross 200cr non holiday. Let us be honest for once in our life no one wants to see Rk in a dark raw action film everyone wants him as alover boy image. as for arjun I don’t want to join the bashing group, but I believe he is too young to carry a role like Baby.
@babaji u always retaliate to my comments where I hv criticised akki but u nvr even say thank u when I praise akki and his films.u were silent when for several days I praised and supported baby or holiday or repeatedly asked indicine to correct the verdict of akki films like hera pheri and khakee to hit verdict.

@nipun ek thi dayan was also a good film on the same lines of psychological thriller as talaash. It has that classy feel that ensure ppl will watch ek thi dayan again n again.
Maybe a bad climax might have ruined it. But ek thi dayan was a good attempt at psyychological thrillers.

SAIF walked out cos d director demanded for a PAY CUT which SAIF wasn’t okay with.
ARJUN politely declined cos he said he wanted to DEDICATE d upcoming 4MONTHS for ADITYA CHOPRA movie releasing on May.

D hit ratio of Arjun is quite impressive. He is part of a 100 crore club and found out his quite a honest guy. Yes UPSET wit AIB controversy!! But looking into movie career I think his done okay. Yes aurzbd tevar were flops..but again its normal to have them…AKKI Had done 10movies bf his 1st HIT!(mohra yeh dillagi) but today he is among d biggest stars.. Hritik 1st movie was a blockbuster. Aamir Salman Ajay 1st movie were super hits and Srk 1st movie was a Hit….But Akki picked up himself and d rest is history! So..I wouldn’t judge tever or aurzbd to call Arjun a flop actor. No that’s not true…he has some hits among them… He just needs to reduce his arrogance..work on his expression more and read his scripts bf signing unlike others that don’t mind acting in 10 films a year! Yes if Amitabh wldv been imposing Abishek on yash chopra movies…I may agree but since that’s not d case I think d directors are not fools to deliberately choose a flop actor to loose their money.
