Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan, who is currently shooting for his upcoming film ‘Te3n’ in Kolkata, felt the earthquake that hit North East India early on Monday morning.
A strong 6.7 magnitude earthquake with epicentre in Manipur hit the northeastern region of the country, causing damage to many buildings.
There are reports that atleast 5 people have been killed and more than 50 people have been injured because of the earthquake.
“EARTHQUAKE! felt it around 4.30 am here in Kolkata, bed shook… I wondered… Confirmed this morning… May all be safe ! PRAYERS!” Bachchan posted on Twitter.
His film ‘Te3N’, directed by Ribhu Dasgupta, is being produced by Sujoy Ghosh of ‘Kahaani’ fame. It also stars talented actors like Vidya Balan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.

Earthquake can’t be that simple if over a100 lives were lost. Not surprised at the callous comment by @challa as one realizes from his comments that he is a heartless creature who cares only for himself. Big B was expressing his concern for others because he too felt the tremors and prayed for the safety of others but callous hard hearted people won’t know about that as they are self centered and selfish to the core of their being.
