All my films are different, still open to south remakes: Salman

Salman Khan’s latest release may not have set the box office on fire like some of his last few films, but the superstar says that he’d continue to feature in south remakes as long as the script is good.

At the launch of Armaan Malik’s new album, a reporter asked Salman about reports that he is no longer interested in south remakes. To which the star said “Who said I will not do any Southern remake ? Did I say that ? No. Whenever a good remake will come up I will do it”

Khan has worked in four south remakes so far – Wanted, Bodyguard, Ready, Jai Ho – out of which only Jai Ho has failed to get a favourable response.

When asked about his upcoming Eid release also being a remake, Salman simply said “All my next films are of different kinds, there is nothing to worry”

  • Imran khan is far better than salman..atleast he tries new subject.. this man doesnt have the guts at all to come with new scripts….poor….

  • @gauri khan we all love you too and we all think you will look better with Dabangg Khan than Sarkar Rukh Khan so leave that buddha to be with best boyfriends Karan n Arjun (Johar n Rampal) and you can have a real mard all to yourself…!

  • salman is looking like hollywood flop king Richard Grieco with that beard, just now he will return to pre-wanted days and become bollywood flop king again, Jai Ho has hightlighted that his decline has began.

  • Jai ho is one of the best movie of Salman in recent times… As far as records r concern KICK will do all the talking..

  • First of all we should decide on which bases we will discuss the movie…boxoffice or quality
For Salman fans you are now tilting towards quality…then listen rang de basanti,swades,MNIK,3idiots,Lagaan,Chak de,Zindagi na mile gi dobara, guzarish, love aj kal, rockstar, barfi,Bhaang mika mhaag, paan singh ,lunchbox are way ahead of JAI Ho………..i havent its original version but some people say that Sohail Khan actually f….ked the original one by adding unnecessary action in it……the movie wasnt inspiring at all………Ok if you want quality then dont even discuss Boxoffice again as many top grosser movies are good time pass and entertaining movies(CE,D3,K3,even wanted, dabang(the ist one and 2nd was just shit) )but you cant admire them critically, just watch them and forget them…………….but all the members of incidine what should we do………….and on which base we should discuss movie boxoffice or quality…….

  • Not a huge fan of remake, I feel its better to watch a good film (telegu, tamil, malayalam) can be seen with subtitles. Remakes often take away the essence of the original. Although concept can be borrowed and molded into something different. Scene to scene copy is not fine by me.

  • rassi jal gayee par bal naheen gaye… why do we have to undergo more torture if these Bollywood people keep on producing remakes!!! we should actually stop watching Bollywood films and see only Hollywood cinema.. at least its original.. ce is a copy of ddlj..dhoom is amalgamation of superman spedrman dhoom is copy of hollywwo d flick and jai ho is copy of pay it forward.. these people are not original at all..so stop wasting your money on them and wait for something original to come ..till then do not watch bad cinema like jai ho

  • @Megha : good thought. Go n watch hollywood movies only n hope you never return to Indicine. We dont want a hollywoodite to comment on Indicine who does not watch bollywood movie. Come on, take initiative n bring the changes !!!! Hope Not to see you again on Indicine if u really follow your own thoughts.
