Riding high on the super-success of ‘Rustom’, Akshay Kumar and Neeraj Pandey have announced their next film together, which will release during the Independence Day weekend in 2017.
Titled ‘Crack’, the film will be directed by Neeraj Pandey, who has previously directed Akshay Kumar in films like ‘Special 26’ and ‘Baby’.
“Friends, I’m happy to share with you that after Special 26 and Baby, in 2017, I’m collaborating with Neeraj Pandey once again! This time,we come together for ‘CRACK’ – A Neeraj Pandey film. Releases Independence Day weekend 2017.Need your love” Akshay tweeted on Monday.
The superstar now has three films that are scheduled to release in 2017; Jolly LLB 2 (10th February), Crack (11th August) and Robot 2.0 (Diwali tentative). He should also have one other film tentatively titled ‘Ikka’.
The announcement comes at a time when there were rumours within the industry that Shah Rukh Khan and Imtiaz Ali were looking at the Independence Day weekend for their next film.

actually i think robot 2 should release solo even in non holiday like baahubali rather than clashing on diwali with golmaal 4 as the potential of robot 2 is huge and it needs free run and open weeks. even booking date like post ipl will be great.

@Apna salman…Republic will be shared and so does diwali…Diwali is huge festival and ajay is not enough to release his only film. In 2012 SrK-ajay came, this year ranbir-ajay so how u think diwali can be of ajay solo???? He never got solo release on festival although he should get .
