Riding high on the super-success of ‘Rustom’, Akshay Kumar and Neeraj Pandey have announced their next film together, which will release during the Independence Day weekend in 2017.
Titled ‘Crack’, the film will be directed by Neeraj Pandey, who has previously directed Akshay Kumar in films like ‘Special 26’ and ‘Baby’.
“Friends, I’m happy to share with you that after Special 26 and Baby, in 2017, I’m collaborating with Neeraj Pandey once again! This time,we come together for ‘CRACK’ – A Neeraj Pandey film. Releases Independence Day weekend 2017.Need your love” Akshay tweeted on Monday.
The superstar now has three films that are scheduled to release in 2017; Jolly LLB 2 (10th February), Crack (11th August) and Robot 2.0 (Diwali tentative). He should also have one other film tentatively titled ‘Ikka’.
The announcement comes at a time when there were rumours within the industry that Shah Rukh Khan and Imtiaz Ali were looking at the Independence Day weekend for their next film.

a crap director like Imtiyaaz Ali has absolutely no chance to stand infront of a director like Neeraj panday, If clash happens then the fate will be same as FlopWale or even worse than that coz FlopWale was released on Xmas period and this is not even that much lucrative !!!!

a masterstroke must say.. watever u say I think akki has edged past hrithik n srk dats for sure.. his plan is simple.. he knows his limitations.. he knows he cannot give highest grossers n highest openers n stuff like that even if given the biggest of directors with biggest production houses n a solo holiday release.. so his plan is to work with small but smart directors with content n controlled budgets n maximum aim for hit status.. anything above will be a bonus.. even an above average n semihit status will recover the costs.. quite a khiladi must say! he shoots at a rapid pace n hence is able to do all kinds of diverse roles n films.. even if his film flops it does not matter as anyways there are no high expectations from him.. but a khan movie even underperforming a bit is trolled left right n centre.. too much is stake for them.. that way akshay is lucky.. would like all the other actors as well to do atleast do 2 films a year
