The pace at which Akshay Kumar works is incredible. The actor has already begun to shoot for hid 3rd release of 2016, Rustom, which is scheduled to clash against Hrithik Roshan’s Mohenjo Daro during the Independence Day weekend.
The first look poster of Rustom has also been released and Akshay is seen wearing the Navy uniform. After Airlift, it’s going to be yet another film that is based on a real-life story and also a film that could challenge a biggie like ‘Mohenjo Daro’.
Directed by debutant Tinu Suresh Desai, Rustom is a film based in the 1950s “The film is set in the late 1950s and is a pure work of fiction. Rustom is inspired from certain real life incidents that happened in the past and will be shot in India as well as in Britain”
“Decorated officer. Devoted family man. Defending his honour. His name? Rustom. Know his story on August 12.” Akshay tweeted.

Looks like historic drama. This year is going to be a movie releases which are base on true life or history or real world . Starting from airlift to dangal including neerja, fan, udta punjab, rangoon, mirzya, azhar, sarabjit, mohenjodaro, m.s dhoni and so on.

Looks good. Independence Day is not a huge holiday like Christmas, Diwali or Eid, so releasing 2 big movies for just 1 holiday won’t be beneficial for either film. It is also surprising since both Akshay and Hrithik are friends and neighbors.
