Not for nothing has the prefix of ‘Khiladi’ been given to Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar. The actor, while shooting for A.R Murugadoss’ remake of Thuppakki, survived a freak truck accident that could have been fatal.
Luckily, Akshay escaped with just minor injuries as the truck passed over his foot while the actor was shooting for an action sequence.
A source present on the sets tells us “We were shooting for an action sequence, when Akshay escaped a speeding truck. Unfortunately for him, his foot was caught under the wheels of the truck. He was taken to the nearby Kokilaben Ambani Hospital immediately. After checkups and x-rays, which revealed no major injury or fracture, Akshay was discharged at around 4:30 in the evening.”
Here’s wishing Akshay a speedy recovery!
Update: We’ve been informed that Akshay is back on the sets, shooting for the film!

Thank god Akshay is allright but i m sure the truck must be totally damaged and the wheels must be punctured after going through Akshay’s foot bcoz he also destroyed a jeep in “Khiladi 786” by his foot.lol

@navin…everybody knows who uses duplicates stuntmen for each smaller scene…..in his 50’s , he needs to take a rest, otherwise he may get spinal injury, which ll destroy his fake stardom as well….
bcoz wat he can do is only action nd masala genre….nd if he looses these two, then i don’t think anyone will go to cinemas to watch him.
he’s the only actor in last 22 yrs of bollywood history, for not using any stunt doubles!! he’ll be fit n fine for another 15 years.
