Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar has said that the story of massive evacuation of Indians from invaded Kuwait in 1990, which is the story of his upcoming film ‘Airlift’, should be in textbooks for students to learn and understand.
“If you browse through World Guinness Book of Records, the biggest air evacuation was done by our beloved country, India. And this is why I selected to do this subject as I wanted to bring it in front of everybody” Akshay said at the Vaayu festival of NMIMS College.
“I’ve always made a request that this big chapter should be there in our textbooks; It’s a very important chapter. We all know what Shah Jahan and Akbar did, but at least write what we have done” he said.
“This is a real story of what happened to 1,70,000 Indians staying in Kuwait when Saddaam Hussein had attacked Kuwait in 1990 and they (Indians) didn’t know where to go, what to do. These kinds of things have been hidden and there are political reasons why it was hidden” Akshay added.
Talking about his film ‘Airlift’, Akshay said the film would make every Indian proud.
“It’s a very special movie. Do go and watch the film and you’ll feel proud to be an Indian”

No yrf, dharma, rohit pappa needed for reap self made superstar akshay Kumar. Haklu cant match akshay in fitness, versatility, stardom, fan following, acting, action, comedy all these talent belong to one and only khiladi akshay. Waiting for airlift eagarly.

Frankly speaking I am not a Akki hater and do not want to bash him. Even during Baby released I openly supported Akki (#navin also stopped bashing him). But some of his fans (like #buddha ka ullu) don’t stop blabbering on Bhai until they see Bhai fans showing real AUKAAT of Akki..
