After a record-breaking start on Thursday, the collections of Hrithik Roshan’s Agneepath declined sharply on Friday, picked up again on Saturday and did very well on Sunday to take it’s weekend business to about 63 crores.
Below is the breakdown for the four day weekend
- Thursday – 22 crores (Holiday)
- Friday – 11 crores (Working day)
- Saturday – 13 crores (Working day)
- Sunday - 17 crores (Holiday)
- Weekend Total – 63 crores
With strong weekend collections, Agneepath should cross the 100 crore mark in week 2. But how big a HIT it can actually go on to be, would depend on how well it sustains during the weekdays. On Monday (today), business has declined by more than 60% for the morning shows compared to Sunday.
Single Screens have remained rock-steady throughout the 4-day weekend, but it’s the sharp decline at multiplexes on Friday continues to be the major cause of worry.
For a film with lots of blood and violence, a 63 crore 4-day weekend is huge. The rise in collections on Sunday suggests that the word-of-mouth is good.

agneepath monday collection is 7.5 cr which is excellent. it shows that movie is not rejected. BOI will have to apologise for their wrong statement that the movie was rejected on the very second day. now the movie will cross 120 cr.
Watched Agneepath………It’s an amazing Movie……After a long time, saw a real Drama, Action, Emotions…..complete masala movie….Sanjay Dutt’s look, Rishi Kapoor’s Dialogs, Priyanka’s acting, Katrina’s Dance and Hrithik’s superb real performance……A MUST MUST WATCH MOVIE.

@Fuad listen you moron salman’s ready was non festive release it didnt start with bigger opening but its lifetime collection 125crore in india only so let see if it come close to it but trust me it wont even cross ghajini 115 crore or even raone 111crore or don2 which i believe is 110 crore. grand opening was not because of hritik but because of sanju and his look. multiplex audience have rejected it only going well in single screen which will soon be finished after week 1. 100crore looks possible right now but for some reason if doesnt cross it then it will shame because it wasnt for the hype that was given to it. it would have been a flop
