Ek Tha Tiger has raced ahead, setting new records in every town/city/state of India, on it’s opening day at the box office. The numbers are mind-boggling and way ahead of Agneepath (Day 1) and Ra One (Day 2).
Below is a quick territory wise comparison between the opening day collections of Ek Tha Tiger and Agneepath. We have also included the second day figures of Ra One, as it was a holiday.
Please note that Agneepath released on lesser screens and had fewer shows due to it’s length. The Ra One figures are for the Hindi version only. It collected about 1 crore from Tamil/Telugu versions. As for Ek Tha Tiger, it could have collected a few more lakhs, if not for the strike in Assam and the funeral of politician Vilasrao Deshmukh in Nizam.

@Priya.Sorry for being late. As per you only Salman has star power and Hrithik’s Agneepath got opening due to Chikni Chameli only. Then God Tussi Tu Great Ho,London Dreams,Main Aur Mrs.Khanna,Yuvraaj & Veer were result of his star power. I agree that Salman have star power,but it does not mean that others like Aamir,SRK or Akshay does not have it.

i want to tell only one thing…paagal saand ki tarah ghumte hue sallu ko dekhkar pagla rhe hai ye…par baat jab acting skills ki aati hai …to dere is no comparison b/w srk and paagal sand, bcoz the level of acting of srk is 1000 times than p.s. and any other khan.since 1994, he continues to give hits for us.so don’t underestimate his acting.
