Karan Malhotra’s last film ‘Agneepath’ was the 4th highest grosser of 2012, after Ek Tha Tiger, Dabangg 2 and Rowdy Rathore. When the film released in January 2012, it recorded the highest opening day collections ever - the record was eventually broken by Ek Tha Tiger in the same year.
3 years after the release of ‘Agneepath’, Malhotra released his second film ‘Brothers’, which has also taken a good opening at the box office.
In 3 days, Agneepath collected Rs 48.72 crore and had just one holiday for Republic Day. In comparison, Brothers has collected Rs 52.08 crore with two holidays – Independence Day and Sunday.
The average ticket price when Agneepath released was around Rs 95-96. For Brothers, it’s around Rs 125 – 130.

Note: Agneepath collected $6.1 million at the overseas box office. But the dollar rate in January 2012 was Rs 52.
Sad for Akshay after doing two good movies back-to-back he will again give two bad movie since SIB isn’t looking so great and once again he would fail to win audience’s trust completely

Well, if you are a true fan of Akshay then stop panicking. Komal Nahta the famous trade analyst says Brothers weekend collection is very good. Since it is an Akshay Kumar film, it will slowly emerge a success. It’s Akshay’s highest weekend collection till date that alone should be a reason to rejoice, Since it is neither a masala movie nor a franchise people were expecting huge. It is not a film on social issues like 3 idiots (education system) or PK ( religion) it’s about a bloody MMA and most indians dont have knowledge about this sport. It won’t be a blockbuster but it won’t be a flop either. It’s gonna be Akshay’s third successful film of 2015. Singh is Bling has a bigger target audienice than Brothers.
I think it is clear that stardom wise and careerwise Akki is bigger than hrithik. Hrithik has constant serious expression, and cant do a funny performance like akki in Hera pheri or Singh is kinng.
Akshay has excelled in all roles, comedy, action, drama.
Hrithik is boring and hasnt done films as versatile as akshay.

producer never tells the real budget.. most of the movies in year are flops.. producers are not fool.. if they spend 15 crs then they tell it 30crs that help them in selling settelite rights and music rights.
