Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil has sustained very well at the box office, collecting Rs 4.56 crore on its 2nd Friday. The excellent trend has ensured ‘HIT’ status for the film.
ADHM has collected Rs 84.75 crore in 8 days, it should collect somewhere around 97-98 crore by the end of its 2nd weekend and then cross the 100 crore mark during the weekdays.
IndicineLBO Note: In our prediction, we expected the film to end with collections of Rs 102 crore, but it’s certain now that ADHM will cross that figure in around 12-13 days. ADHM had opened well at the box office even during the Pre-Diwali period, so we expected bigger drops during the weekdays, but the film has sustained very well. In fact, ADHM has recorded the 2nd highest 2nd Friday of 2016, only behind Sultan and ahead of films like Rustom and Airlift.
The other reason was the upward trend that Shivaay showed on Monday, we expected the Ajay Devgn starrer to overtake ADHM during the weekdays, but the clash has eventually turned out to be one-sided with the Ranbir Kapoor starrer dominating through the week.

i had seen xmen apocalypse last day & i thought it was not as good as xmen dofp but after seeing adhm i just realized that even a above average hollywood movie can be 10 times better than a bollywood movie. i mean it was an utter garbage. i did not watched mohenjo daro but im damn sure i’ll like it more than adhm. i hav yet to watch shivaay but it has got to be better than adhm even if its a below average film. even salman khan’s masala nonsensical films are better than adhm. ash looked awesome & srk is my favorite star but other than that everything else was garbage.
the last bollywood movie i watched was pk & now adhm so i went from watching one of the best films to one of the worst one. i think from here on i will only watch hirani films(bcuz his films are sensible & entertaining) & srk films (i know his films will be average but can handle that as he has given unimaginable performances in past [baazigar/daar] & earned the top spot in my favorite actors).
