Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil has sustained very well at the box office, collecting Rs 4.56 crore on its 2nd Friday. The excellent trend has ensured ‘HIT’ status for the film.
ADHM has collected Rs 84.75 crore in 8 days, it should collect somewhere around 97-98 crore by the end of its 2nd weekend and then cross the 100 crore mark during the weekdays.
IndicineLBO Note: In our prediction, we expected the film to end with collections of Rs 102 crore, but it’s certain now that ADHM will cross that figure in around 12-13 days. ADHM had opened well at the box office even during the Pre-Diwali period, so we expected bigger drops during the weekdays, but the film has sustained very well. In fact, ADHM has recorded the 2nd highest 2nd Friday of 2016, only behind Sultan and ahead of films like Rustom and Airlift.
The other reason was the upward trend that Shivaay showed on Monday, we expected the Ajay Devgn starrer to overtake ADHM during the weekdays, but the clash has eventually turned out to be one-sided with the Ranbir Kapoor starrer dominating through the week.

The majot diffrence im collection coz of adhm has high ticket price n shivaay is less than 10cr far with avg tickt price so that means.Shivaay is doing much better coz of more footfall it means more public coming for shivaay.on the othrside adhm has not that much of footfall just coz of high tickt price its leading.. just imagine if tickt was same as shivaay then shivaay would b winner.
So inshort shivaay is perfroming better evn with less opening. But adhm with huge opening n high tickt price still day wise collection is only lil bit more than shivaay so adhm perfrmng low.
Even 2 friday collection are adhm is 4.56 when shivaay is 4.6 so just imagine which films with what circumstancs is perfrmng better.

Shivaay opened lower than ADHM and its weekdays are also lower than ADHM. If you calculate the percentage you’ll find that Shivaay more or less sustained on the same levels of ADHM.

To all these mindless idol worshipping Khan/Johar fanboys, do you guys even understand simple mathematics that despite ADHM eing 15-20 cr ahead of Shivaay in the final tally, the footfalls of both the films would be almost identical due to ticket price disparity? Just like JTHJ and SOS, both had the same 1.25 cr footfalls despite SOS being 12 cr short of JTHJ on nett. As for the cost, as per BOI Shivaay has a cost of ? 103 cr while ADHM has a cot of ? 98 cr. So there’s little to choose there. All this despite the fact that Shivaay has just 1 known face whose also the director/producer of the film and has no chartbuster song while ADHM has Johar as the director with Ranbir, Anushka and Aishwarya giving support coupled with chartbuster music!
Maya Ra one India verdict hit, overseas superhit,and shivaay India verdict flop to below average, overseas disaster both released during diwali, having same budget.
