The much-hyped trailer of ‘ABCD 2’ is out. Starring Varun Dhawan, Shraddha Kapoor and Prabhudheva, Remo D’Souza is back to direct the sequel to the 2013 hit film.
Quick Review: The second instalment is shot on a much larger scale, has a bigger star cast and traces the journey of an Indian dance troupe, a motley assortment of boys and girls who come from the backstreets of a Mumbai suburb; their rise to fame, sudden downfall and then their heroic attempt to seek vindication by regaining their lost glory and pride. Will they be able to achieve success at the biggest International platform? Will they make Vishnu (Prabhudheva) Sir proud? Shot in Las Vegas, ABCD 2 promises to be a bittersweet journey of love, friendship, betrayal, honour and redemption.
Varun’s dialogue delivery still leaves a lot to be desired and Prabhudheva’s south Indian accent is a little hard to understand without subtitles. Shraddha looks pretty in the song. Both Varun and Shraddha seem to have put in a lot of hard work to get the dance moves right.
Overall, the film should open well at the box office and the presence of popular stars would help the film big time.

Agree with @Hrithik(complete hero)..their promotion n marketing team suck badly,they did’nt even promoted bang bang on tv saying the film has a much grander scale,the trailer,posters created immense buzz but that was wasted due to their lackluster marketing strategy and hence the film underachieved at the boxoffice! Worst prod. house!!
Is it just me, but i feel Varun in emotional scenes is not up to mark.
Average. I had bigger expectations from it to be fair. I didn’t see any spectacular dancing, dialogues were poor (including Varun’s dialogue deliveries) and storyline seems very predictable.
I feel the makers got too cautious out here? They should have taken the winners or finalists of the various dance shows for the leading roles. It would have been awesome for all the dance fans to watch a movie with some great moves.
Also the trailer makes me think it is HNY 2 with low budget.
If the makers really want to do justice to a movie that is based on dancing, they should have opted with real dancers and a story that is fresh.

@aman mathur, this movie won’t collect 200cr becoz this movie has no rohit shetty and multistarcast. But varun’s dilwale has every chance to collect 200cr.
If abcd2 collect 100cr then nobody can stop dilwale collecting 200cr. Afterall dilwale has Rohit shetty+multistarcast along with varun.

nothing impressive or interesting at all. the story seems very predictable, as it was done, and redone, and redone, and redone, at least a hundred times before then and I doubt that ABCD2 will have anything “new” or original in it.
the dances look okayish, still have to see the full fledged video songs to judge but, from what the trailer shows, dance sequences wont be as great as they’re supposed to be in a dance movie.
