ABCD 2 has been in the news even before the film went on floors. There are many reasons attached to why the film is expected to be one of the bigger openers of 2015. The fresh pairing of Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor has worked big time. The other being the sequel to a successful dance film.

Non-theatrical recovery:
- Satellite Rights - 15 crore
- Music Rights - 8 crore
- Total – 23 crore
Theatrical share from India and Overseas business to break even - 42 crore
Assuming that the overseas share is around 7-8 crore, the film has recover around 35 crore from Indian theatrical business.
Verdicts based on the assumption that ABCD2 collects $3million from overseas markets:
- Disaster: Below 25 crore
- Flop: Below 40 crore
- Average: Below 60 crore
- Hit: Above 75 crore
- Super Hit: Above 100 crore
- Blockbuster: Above 130 crore

If the film is good it will do around 78cr, if average then it will have to settle for a 65cr lifetime, in the worst case senario it will not even touch the 45cr gross of the first part!
Have been watching emraan hashmi movies back to back, started with kalyug, then awarapan, then jannat 2, then shangai and now finally hamari adhuri kahani!!! Abcd2 deserves 2 flop if a great film like hak does below average business. Sure it had it’s flaws, but it was stil better than most films. Im a huge fan of emraan hashmi suddenly noticed, after akshay, my favourite is emraan hashmi, followed by salman and then finally saif ali khan. From youngsters, favourite is ranbir and then varun. Varun was good in previous movies but this does not deserve any kind of collection to be honest. And shame on reviewers who gave bad review to hamari adhuri kahani but will give god review to this and dil dhadkne do!
