@babaji agree, pk 2nd half lacks repeat watch.I myself didn’t watch pk completely except my twice in the cinema hall.But pk still ranks higher than many films if that year for sure.
3 Idiots with only 1400-1800 screens grossed more than 200 crs so stop talking about screens. with three weeks in hand and 1 more holiday weekend I expect atleast 250 crs. below 250 crs on this lucrative period is disappoint. before the release of movie u all were barking that pk’s record is in danger so what happened now ? now why u all expecting lower numbers ? finally by removing 100 crs from last years Christmas released movie PK (340 crs) for clash factor we should at least predict dilwale to collect 240 crs. below this dilwale is disappointment for bollywood in 2015 bcz business pundits r expecting at least 320-340 crs from both films.

its masterpiece . its love story told in best possible way . anaizing detailed in way its delivered . even influence of marathi the way marathi is spoken peshwa culture costumes evrything is simply OUTSTANDING

And hereby i say that , srk has lost his super midas touch , ok dilwale was not given a solo release , it was piited opposite to a movie lyk bajirao whose promos were exciting enough to bring any cinema lover to theatre.
I won’t talk about dilwale’s expected b.o performance. It might still collect 250 crs and all , but this is straight 3rd masala movie of srk.
Only sex and srk sells , he is a brand , audience trusts him , i m not saying that he has made many classics and masterpiece , noooooo
But atleast he was making some decent movies , oso and rnbdj are no classics but are very entertaining and certainly have a story to say (though they are performance driven).

My Dilwale experience:
It was damn annoying before the movie began. There was a long queue at the ticket counter and after patiently waiting for more than 20 minutes, I got a ticket. I was foolish enough to not book tickets in advance as I thought that getting tickets for a 9am show on a Friday morning would not be that tough. But I was proved wrong. And how! I was a bit late and when I entered, I heard people whistling and hooting. I saw the screen and got my answer. Yes friends, this is STARDOM! Srk had just entered and it didn’t even take a second for the crowd to go berserk! A few minutes later, Varun Dhawan made his entry. Believe me guys, no other youngistaan actor commands such a huge fan following and love among the masses. It was overwhelming. He is quickly stepping the success ladder and it would be safe to say that he already is a superstar (not talking about numbers here, the khans and Hrithik are way ahead of him; I’m just talking in terms of fan following and craze as compared to other young actors.) achieving such craze after just 5 films old and at the age of 28 is commendable! 1 film old Kriti Sanon too was received with claps and hoots! Honestly, this was unexpected! Last but not the least, the most enthusiastic reception was enjoyed by Kajol! Woahh never imagined that! It’s usually the male stars that enjoy such claps and hooting, but she is probably the only female star to have enjoyed such a reception. (Really proud of that!) Don’t miss the last 10 seconds of the film, even the most ardent haters of SRK would clap and whistle to the iconic DDLJ dialogue.
P.S- This was was just my experience and not a review, because let’s face it! Even if an SRK films gets the worst of reviews, fans will flock in hordes!

Nostalgic Experience
Last Year I was waiting for CHRISTMAS (PK)then I watched pk on SUNDAY (21ST).
I was stunned,
Aamir carried the whole movie on his shoulder
A MOVIE WHERE AAMIR DELIVERED HIS CAREER BEST PERFOMANCE.
A MOVIE which is breaking box office records even today.
One thing I can tell is that Aamir has garnered so much PRESTIGE now a days some people turn out for his movies who normally aren’t as excited about other Bollywood movies
They expect something different and fine quality each time.
& AAMIR always give 110% to make a better movie each time.
I can assure you Dangal will be another MASTERPIECE

Did anyone recognize in 3 IDIOTS movie word just like Mandalay?? In Myanmar Mandalay(second capital of Myanmar) where huge fan followers for Amir Khan movie.
3 idiots and pk were only movies which had both critical acclaim and box office collections and both were directed by hirani. Ghajini and dhoom 3 only had box office collections and no critical acclaim while taare zameen par was liked by critics and class audience it didnt broke box office records . So if dangal is a movie not for masses which it seems on paper then it is not going to create any records .
For me 3 idiots is best Christmas film of aamir and ghajini is the best entertaining film of aamir. He is undisputed king of Bollywood.
@Stark I do agree with certain points but I would like you to go through some of Srk’s previous interviews where he had said he wanted to take a break after doing a series of intense movies.Even I would have criticized Srk if he had signed another Masala movie but his next 3 releases are expected to be offbeat high-on-content movies.In fact Fan was supposed to release before Dilwale but due to VFX(quite evident in the trailer) it was postponed.Maybe through his last 3 releases he has widened his fan base in the interiors and wanted to reach out to a larger section of audiences who would any day prefer CE over Swades.For example I used to watch most of Srk’s movies with friends but Chennai Express was one of the few movies which my entire family watched in a cinema hall and loved it.Ra.one was a huge gamble but it didn’t paid off still you need guts to make such a movie and promote it the way he did.Variety is very necessary for an actor and maybe Srk got a little carried away by CE’s humongous success but still I’m proud that Srk is doing a movie like Fan and playing a negative character in Raees.
I am surprised that you said My name is Khan is over hyped.I felt it to be one of the finest movies of Srk’s illustrious career
Even I am concerned about Srk’s reputation because it’s been many years he has given a classic.
But hopefully our concerns should vanish after Fan’s release:)
My most favorite Christmas film of aamir is 3 idiots followed by TZP and pk while ghajini and D3 were only masala action entertainers. So for one time watch I enjoyed them as well.
