Aamir Khan has comprehensively beaten Shahrukh Khan, not just at the domestic box office, but in territories where SRK is considered to be in a league of his own and way ahead of the competition.
Aamir’s latest release Dhoom 3 has collected around $12 million (73 crore) in the overseas markets in its first weekend, which is about 46% more than the business generated by Chennai Express. The SRK starrer grossed around $8.2 million (Rs 50.8 crore) in 3 days including paid previews in various countries.

What should also not be forgotten is the fact that, Dhoom 3 released during the ‘Pre-Christmas’ period which is considered to be dull for films released in countries like USA, Canada, UK and Australia. Also, the ‘Eid’ period when Chennai Express released is huge in countries like UAE/GCC and Pakistan.
Dhoom 3 has also beaten the lifetime overseas business of Krrish 3 in just 3 days. The film could go on to cross Rs 100 crore in the overseas markets by the end of Week 1 and could beat the total collections of Chennai Express in its second weekend.
It is also likely to gross more than 3 Idiots (currently the biggest grosser) and My Name Is Khan, to set new benchmarks in the international business. What remains to be seen is if Dhoom 3 can cross the Rs 150 crore mark, which no film has managed to do so far.
Now srk haters switch their favourism to Amir till now they supported to salman, ranbeer hritik for few days. If Amir toppled srk from no. 1 position then how come salman was no. 1 before dhoom3. If jai ho makes records again haters will say salman has toppled srk instead of Amir.

@nipun your so called universal best actor HR highest overseas grosser is D2 released in 2006 who is nowhere in the list of top10 highest grosser,still after 6 releases JA,kites,gujaarish,Agneepath,ZNMD&k3 and 7 year has paased won’t able to break that record, Salman was still better as he have ETT at 09th position while he is not so popular in overseas compare to srk & Aamir, and might will jai ho also be in that list soon.

@danish do you know ce collection was 19million$ and due to market condition it become equivalent to 124cr while 3I had collected 26million$ still he has top film in overseas he not require to prove anthing but i thinkstill you want srk to prove something in overseas than first tell him to do a good movie which will loved by overseas audience like MNIK so that he can even surpass his 3 year old best. and there is nothing to prove for Aamir don’t worry after 3week completion D3 will be on top 3, thus it become Aamir has 2 movie while srk has 1, in which srk done 5 commercial movies after 3I ans Aamir had done 2 Tallash & D3, still one came at top 3, i think its enough for you and if you can’t digest than concentrate on other thing.

SRK fans seem to be too logical and rationale when they try to prove why SRK is the best or his films are successful. However, when it comes to other actors, they lose it. They become completely absurd and deluded…
Of course, Dhoom 3 is on its way to become the biggest grosser of Bollywood partly because of being a popular franchise. At the same time, they should appreciate Aamir for being able to successfully pull off such a challenging role.
So far as SRK’s popularity in overseas is concerned, SRK fans like to solely credit SRK for his popularity (of course, SRK deserves the credits) and obviously fail to credit YRF Banner (that has made SRK a brand) and Dharma Production with their huge marketing channel overseas.
Another example, CE was a blockbuster. But has any SRK fan credited Rohit Shetty (famous for churning out blockbuster after a blockbuster)? Tell me when SRK had given his last blockbuster before CE (in India). Yet, SRK fans fail to give due credits to others, here, Rohit Shetty! To me, SRK fans are deluded and lack rationale thinking!

5) Ajay Devgn, the King of Acting (Don’t Go for his Look.)
6) Hrithik Roshan, a Guy with Talent and the King of Dance (without his father, his story would be different today).
7) Govinda, the most under-rated Multitalented Actor
8) Shahid Kapur, the most side-lined Talented Actor in his Generation
9) Emraan Hashmi, an under-rated Star and the King of Adult Category Films
10) Aditya R Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor, Sushant S Rajput, Arjun Kapoor, Imran Khan, Varun Dhanwan etc- the Future Superstars and Too Early to Comment on their remaining aspects.

Good to see a movie called Dhoom 3 breaking Chennai Express record everywhere till now……I am an Srk fan and for my previous comment you all can realise this but happy to see Dhoom 3 making history all over, Dosen’t matter if it fail (possiblty is very low) to break chennai express record atleast what it will achive is with real box office figure unlike some fake collection which we witnessed some time back………….it is Dhoom 3 not fake 3. Clear fight is in between CE & D 3 and now evry one starting realise this even sites or channels………….There is also a spoof made by etc where it is clearly showed Dhoom 3 is chasing Chennai express……… Interestingly there is no place for krrish 3 because og manupulated figure………………..Atlast Big cheers for Dhoom 3 and now i belive either Kick or HNY has a chance to break this out and make new records………I has less hope for jai ho to break this record but again will emerge a blockbuster status………….but you never know because bhai is comming after a long gap……..
