Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s comments over ‘intolerance’ in the country has been blown out of proportions by the media, resulting in 26/11 Mumbai attacks Mastermind Hafiz Saeed inviting him to Pakistan.
In a series of tweets Hafiz said “Discrimination against minorities in India particular Muslims are proof enough that Modi’s India no more secular. Its fascist Hindu state. We welcome Indian Intellectuals raising voice against intolerance inflicted by Hindu extremists if & whenever they come to Pakistan”
“We would be pleased to demonstrate to them JuD’s ongoing relief and rehabilitation efforts for minorities living in Pakistan. Even the renowned Indian Muslims in the field of sports, academia, arts & culture are fighting a constant battle for identity inside India. Any such Muslim, even Shahrukh who is facing difficulty and discrimination in India because of Islam are invited to stay in Pakistan” he added.
Saeed’s invitation comes in response to SRK’s comments on the growing intolerance in India. The superstar had said “There is intolerance, there is extreme intolerance.. there is I think.. there is growing intolerance. It is stupid to be intolerant and this is our biggest issue not just an issue.. Religious intolerance and not being secular in this country is the worst kind of crime that you can do as a patriot”
Meanwhile, the most balanced and sanest of opinions has been expressed by Salman Khan’s father and writer Salim Khan.

Some questions for SRK
1. You are free to openly express your displeasure, isn’t that tolerance shown by the Indian government?
2. You say meat-eating shouldn’t be an issue. But you eat the meat of an animal we worship, shouldn’t you be respecting our religious feelings too? Why don’t you show your tolerance there? Beef parties are organised in this country.. why call them Beef party? Just organise the party and eat beef if you want to, but do it discreetly. It’s called a BEEF party to instigate the Hindus and hurt them. Did media highlight this? Did you comment against this?
3. Aren’t your comments creating a divide among people? Even Pakistan is laughing at us now. Was there any need to give anti-national comments. You are one of the most influential actors in the country. Why couldn’t you discuss this directly with the government, by writing to them? Is there a need to create divide among people by saying there is religious intolerance.
