Zanjeer has failed to get a good initial at the domestic box office, as it collected around 3.25 – 3.5 crore (estimate) on its first day. The film’s budget was higher than the other release this week (Shuddh Desi Romance), but the Priyanka Chopra starrer was clearly the second choice all over.
Except Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh, where Ram Charan Teja is a huge star, the film was a washout all over. The Telugu version titled Thoofan has done well.
For the film to have any chance of recovering its investment, Zanjeer has to put up much better figures on Day 2. Saturday will decide the film’s fate at the box office. But with mixed to negative reports and a shockingly poor start on Friday, it looks like a lost battle already.

telugu versions did 80cr nett…the gross will be 100cr and tamil versions did 15 ce nett.and overseas 6-7 cr..so total will be 125 cr max….not even a rupee more than tht…

This is expected. Don’t know why such a huge & talented actress like Priyanka signed this type of a movie. Gals who came after her (eg. Deepika, Anushka, Jaqueline) are doing better than her. A star with no talent like Katrina is doing way better. But why can’t Priyanka accept movies with a better script. She seriously needs to be cautious before signing a movie.

Hay guys and gals don’t under estimate Ramcharan, really he is a talented person and a son of a big south megastar Chiranjivi sir, already he proved his talent in Magadheera which was the biggest hit movie in south. Superstar rajnikant and Kamal sir already a many time announced about ramcharan that he is a good talented and having good skill, then why you people are talking negatively about ramcharan? is there any biggest actor that Amitab sir, rajni sir and Kamal sir in india? already they gave certificate about ramcharan that he is a good actor then what problem to all of you? film hit or flap that is common but you see his acting performance that is all.
