The posters of the four leads from ‘Udta Punjab’ is out. The film features Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt and Diljit Dosanjh in the lead.
Actor Sidharth, who is rumoured to be dating Alia, praised her poster and said “Dramatic impactful transformation awaiting trailer Udta Punjab Alia In Udta punjab”
Alia will be seen playing a Bihari migrant in the film.
Alia’s father Mahesh Bhatt also shared the poster and said ”Anything is possible if you have got enough nerve”.
Kareena and Shahid’s role has also received plenty of attention. Kareena will be seen essaying the character of Dr Preet Sahani, who leaves her cushioned life to move to the heartland of Punjab to tackle the drug menace in the state.
Directed by Abhishek Chaubey, Udta Punjab has been co-produced by Phantom Films and Balaji Motion Pictures. The movie tells the story of substance abuse in the Indian state of Punjab.
The film is scheduled to hit theatres on June 17.

For me Shahid’s poster is the best followed by Alia . Shahid’s poster captures the intensity and madness of a rockstar and the name of the character is powerful – Tommy Singh . Alia is also looking different as she is playing a deglam role . I have heard she has learnt Bhojpuri for this movie and I hope this movie brings her the opportunity to showcase her talent just as she did in Highway . Kareena’s poster is the weakest as she is playing a doctor, with a stethoscope, mobile and ear plugs . There is nothing in her poster . Diljit is looking solid and will make his Hindi debut with UP . He is a huge star in Punjabi Cinema and a has a terrific voice . Till now everything about Udta Punjab has impressed me and now I am waiting to see the trailer tomorrow . I like shahid’s looks most. He nailed it. Followed by alia. Shahid and alia’s looks in this movie are outstanding and so surprising.
