Singham Returns continued its glorious run in theatres on Sunday. Business throughout the country has picked up on Sunday. The average growth in business at most centres that we tracked till early evening (4PM shows) was around 30% higher than Saturday.
Sunday collections is likely to be around 26-27 crore or more when the final collections come in. The Rohit Shetty directed film is carrying fantastic word-of-mouth publicity and the trend over the weekend suggests that it should hold up well on Monday too.
The weekend business of Singham Returns will be just about 20% lesser than the total collections of the first film Singham which released in 2011.
Singham Returns will be one of the fastest films to the 100 crore mark, equalling the 5-day record of Salman Khan’s Kick earlier this year. In the all-time list, Singham Returns will only be behind Dhoom 3 (3 days), Chennai Express (3 day including paid previews) and Krrish 3 (4 days).
Can Singham Returns cross the 200 crore mark like Rohit Shetty’s last film Chennai Express? Unlikely, as it doesn’t have enough holidays in the next few days.

Singham returns, sequel of singham 2011, is not only satisfactorily watchable,but also inspiring.it has many impressive scenes.
The movie starts very nicely. It creats an impression from the first scene itself. It has intensity. But finally the problem arises in the middle of the movie. Some of The love angle scenes were funny. But some will lose your attention. Some of the overaction scenes look good. But many look pathetic. Better editing was definitely needed for those scenes.
The technicality in the movie is not too poor. The story is inspired from current political and social issues. There were some scenes between the hero and the politicians which are perfectly shooted. It has emotions.but they don’t look manipulative. The plot isn’t very senseless barring some of the overaction scenes. The cinematography is good. Direction and screenplay are good,yet could have been better. The dialogues are inspiring,impressive and powerful. The background score was fitting the soul of the movie. But, I have again a problem with the music. They are not bad. But they lacked deshiness. The song “Ata majhi satakli” by yo yo is a huge let down. It irritates badly.
The performances by the lead actor was simply superb. Ajay devgn has done a wonderful job. The sincerity,dedication,motivation,inspiration,manliness reflect from his each and every expression. Amol gupte and KK Menon has played their part very well. Anupama kher has a small role, but he has perfectly acted in the movie. The lady(playing report character) and the the man( CM character) are again very good in their role. The other supporting casts are decent. But, the leading lady is wasted. Some of her parts were funny. But many look boring,useless and unnecessary. She is looking older here.
Conclusion: this movie is problematic in middle. it could have been much better if they worked on those action scenes..but over all, it looks satisfactory,inspiring,motivative and powerful. It lacks the repeat value. But it deserved to be watched for atleast one time.
Negative:
1. The love angle scenes will lose some attention.
2. Editing in action could have been better.

i am goin with a rating of 2.75. watch it for the hugely dedicative actor.

Watched the movie today. Just like the first part , some good action scenes which are over the top,some funny moments , overall an above average film. 2.5 stars.

The audience are going gaga over the movie and the WOM is excellent so its collection must be steady for weekdays.
So.. Singham Returns has beaten Entertainment in just 3 days. It will also beat Holiday in 5 days.
Top 7 actors is like this then — Aamir, Salman, SRK, Hrithik, Ranbir, Ajay and Akshay.
Big question is if Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra are bigger stars than Akshay. Because the cost of production of Varun and Sid films is lesser than Akshay and ROI of their films is better too.
Akshay could soon be knocked out of Top 10 if he is not careful.
If Singham Returns cqn get a two weeks open then I’m pretty sure it would touch 200 cr but we already face competition from Entertainment which was one week old and we will get another competition this weekend as Mardaani will release and remember it is a Yash Raj film who is the father of Marketing.
Also Raja Natwarlal will come third weekend but still I believe Singham Returns will touch 195cr.

@arjun deepika is real star of yjhd. Imo yjhd worked due to songs ,dharma, deepika. Ramleela proved that yjhd worked due to deepika. Lookout for female lead finding crappy.

@ajey rocks: thanks. .SR deserves anywhere in range 2.5-3 in my view. I personally loved it more than other masalas like kick,jai ho,holiday and gunday. The problem arised in middle of the movie.but over all,i enjoyed it. My accurate rating is 2.75. 2.5 is just scale rating.
