Singham Returns continued its glorious run in theatres on Sunday. Business throughout the country has picked up on Sunday. The average growth in business at most centres that we tracked till early evening (4PM shows) was around 30% higher than Saturday.
Sunday collections is likely to be around 26-27 crore or more when the final collections come in. The Rohit Shetty directed film is carrying fantastic word-of-mouth publicity and the trend over the weekend suggests that it should hold up well on Monday too.
The weekend business of Singham Returns will be just about 20% lesser than the total collections of the first film Singham which released in 2011.
Singham Returns will be one of the fastest films to the 100 crore mark, equalling the 5-day record of Salman Khan’s Kick earlier this year. In the all-time list, Singham Returns will only be behind Dhoom 3 (3 days), Chennai Express (3 day including paid previews) and Krrish 3 (4 days).
Can Singham Returns cross the 200 crore mark like Rohit Shetty’s last film Chennai Express? Unlikely, as it doesn’t have enough holidays in the next few days.
Singham Returns Box Office Collections
- Friday – 32.09 cr
- Saturday – 21.05 cr
- Sunday – 26 cr+
- Total Weekend Collections – 79.14 cr (expected)
Whatever the critics are saying people just don’t care when these big films are lined up for a mega release.. Singham returns has managed to carry strong enough word of mouth to take it past 175 crores..but 200 crore will be a really big achievement..

Ajay is my favourite no.4 my favourite is Salman but i believe in performence not in number so if Ajay do better i will praise him more than my hero but i havent seen s r so cant say but i dnt think it will better than kick cuz kick has that feeling which is missing in todays movies and that was feeling of live ur life for others happiness.

I was expecting more but was not disappointed. It was enjoyable movie but in parts.

@Arjun Kapoor,the 3rd day collection of Singham is still bigger than the biggest opening for Ranbir YHJ nd forrget the first day of Singham Returns coz it will take to him yrs to break that record.
and about Rajneeti, Ajey did that role for Prakash since they are long mates.
for God’s sake plz dont compare a man who is in the industry more than 20 yrs and acheived everything with younger actor who is just here less than 10 yrs.
Ranbir is very talanted and he is the man who will replace Khans,Hr,Ajey and Akki but he still needs time.
btw Barfi and Rockstar is my favourite movies and I like him more.

Sadly I havent seen the movie and yesterday was a wasted day for me as I couldnt go to the Test match at the Oval due to family commitments so my weekend hasnt been the best.,, I know two guys who have seen n immenselty loved the film so I will have to make space to see it during a week night if possible. Most are giving the film top marks as from an entertainment point of view its worth spending £8 for a ticket so forget the little technical aspects people are pointing out n enjoy a good old tussle between good n evil….

I am a srk fan I went and saw sr.it was cool n loved it. Congo to Ajay devgan. It was better than kick. And yap feel happy that it can go 200 cr. I hope it does anyway Ajay deserves this long time ago. And his a good actor and does decent movie
Ajay is a good actor but his films doesn’t do that much of business. It’s just because of rohit shetty .ajay last movie himmatwala is a big flop. Many of ajay films which are super hit .directed by rohit.
