Shahrukh Khan has signed three movies, 2 of which will release this year. The third, with his childhood friend Anil Senior, is likely to release in 2014.

Chennai Express (Release Date: August 8th 2013): SRK is currently shooting for Rohit Shetty’s Chennai Express, which is all set to clash against Akshay Kumar’s Once Upon A Time In Mumbai Again during the EID weekend. The film reunites him with his Om Shanti Om co-star Deepika Padukone. It will be a typical Shetty film with comedy, action and romance. The director promises to retain the essence of his recent blockbusters and plans to include high octane action sequences with cars/busses blowing up. Chennai Express is co-produced by Shahrukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment and UTV Motion Pictures. The film will be made on a budget of 45-50 crores.
Happy New Year (December 2013 – tentative): HNY will have a massive cast. Jackie Shroff has been signed to play the villain, Boman Irani will have a pivotal role to play and Abhishek Bachchan has an been signed too. Meanwhile, Farah Khan’s search for the ‘perfect leading lady’ continues. She recently told us that she is looking for someone ’with exceptional dancing skills and can look hot at the same time’. Happy New Year is about a bunch of male friends and how a situation forces them to participate in a dancing competition. The problem? None of them are good dancers. The female lead, who plays the character of a pole dancer, then makes an entry and takes these friends to the World dance championship.
A for Apple, B for Billi, C for Cutta (will release in 2014): The director of ABC is Anil Senior, SRK’s childhood friend from Delhi. He last directed Dil Kabaddi (2008). Since then, Anil has been working on his dream-project tentatively titled A for Apple, B for Billi, C for Cutta. He narrated the script to Shahrukh, who liked it and agreed to do the film. ABC will be produced by SRK’s Red Chillies Entertainment. Shooting begins after SRK wraps up Happy New Year – most likely in the February or March 2014.
