Rani Mukerji marries Aditya Chopra in Italy

Actress Rani Mukerji has married producer-filmmaker Aditya Chopra at a private wedding ceremony in Italy on 21st April 2014.

Rani released a press statement confirming her marriage.

“I would like to share the happiest day of my life with all my fans all over the world whose love and blessings have been part of my journey all these years. I know that all my well-wishers who have waited for this day will be really happy for me. It was a beautiful wedding in the Italian countryside with just a few of our close family and friends with us. The one person I missed terribly was Yash Uncle, but I know he was there with us in spirit and his love and blessings will always be with Adi and me. I have always believed in fairy-tales and with God’s grace my life has been exactly like one, and now as I enter the most important chapter of my life – the fairy-tale continues.”

  • Oh, Finally…!!!! Why were they waiting for so many years?

But I feel Rani could’ve married a more handsome man than Adi. Anyways if she is happy it is ok. Congrats Rani!

  • Congratulations Rani and Adi….!

You guys deserve this and @anupama ‘beauty is in the eye of the beholder’ and I like to believe both Adi and Rani saw something beautiful within eachother despite your shallow minded opinions on beauty being on the outside than the inside.

God bless both of them and we wish you a lifetime of eternal bliss and happiness.

  • @Navin
Yes. In spite of the fact that he was married once, she definitely saw the beautiful 5000 crore Yashraj industry in adi’s shoulder. So what more does she need to think anymore?. It’s always the same story like this for all the actresses whether it’s juhi or shilpa or karishma. Money makes the necessary beauty for their life..

  • Finally, she became Rani Chopra!! Shotgun was right! Congrats to the couple! Wise decision, economic wise!!

  • Finally, she became Rani Chopra!! Shotgun was right! Congrats to the couple! Wise decision, economic wise!!………….

  • @Navin I wud like to agree wit ur comment for the first time but I cant as we see another user point out that most of these actresses date the handsome men when young and during their career but when it is time to settle they choose the not so goodlooking but albeit rich men, I too believed in women loving men for the inside but look at maduri, shilpa, juhi, rani choices and we wud deduce the real reason is they want to settle down with security and stability and money sadly…………………….I hope I am wrong with Rani tho as I think she is a nice person……………………

  • @nnibbinnn She could have hooked up with an industrialist with more money but dont you think that a man who has written some of the best romantic stories of our generation perhsps by default could also be able to woo a lady of Ranis stature…? Romance in this case I feel may have been a strong force in their relationship overshadowing the monetary issues as you pointed out.

I wont take a sceptical stance or a pessimist view on this one- both deserve happiness n thats what matters most so heres hoping this fairytale lasts forever.

@trini Dont want any agreement or concurment just feel two individuals have got married n here people are looking for exterior motives as to why they getting married- marriage for me is a relationship built on love n everything else should be of secondary importance. Sad to see people questioning others motives for getting married for when they really should be asking themselves:- “Why am I such a pessimist when it comes to the sanctity of marriage…?”
Have some decorum people n wish the happy couple success n thats your one good deed for the day.

  • @Navin
Even the great yash chopra have admitted himself that it was Rani the reason his son’s marriage ended up in divorce. And it’s not like they have openly declared their love to each other that can indicate their strong relationship or whatever. Getting married after breaking another one seems to be so romantic to you maybe but not to others.

  • @Navin, U must be an old timer, most people in the west at least in this generation, marry purely based on looks, status and money……………..love is hardly in the equation these days, just look at high divorce rates and also look at who is initiating the divorces most of the times!

  • @trini,nnibin nd navin though i’m new here can’t u just wish dem a happy married lyf with out questioning their motives because i don’t think either of u met rani or adi personally or they told u the reason for their marriage.so please don’t be judgmental
