PK has collected Rs 21.22 on its first weekday at the box office, which is the 2nd highest non-holiday Monday of all time after Dhoom 3. Business at multiplexes dropped by around 40-45% from Monday, but mass centres were rock steady all over.
Compared to Friday business, the India business of PK has dropped by just 20% which is phenomenal to say the least.
PK is likely to collect around Rs 35 crore in the next two days and Thursday (holiday for Christmas) could cross the 25 crore mark again. The film should collect somewhere around 175 – 180 crore in its first week, which will be the second highest first week business of all time.
Given the word-of-mouth that PK is carrying, it should eventually go on to break the lifetime records set by Dhoom 3 last year.

- Saturday - 30.34 crore (14% growth from previous day)
- Sunday – 38.24 crore (26% growth)
- Monday – 21.22 crore (38% drop)

PK Sets All Time Record On Monday:
PK continues to breaks records on Monday with the highest Monday collections of all time with a collection of 21 crore nett apprx. The four days figure for the film is over 114 crore nett. The drop on Monday is just 20% from Friday collections which has never happened before since films started to record these 20 crore nett plus days.
The film did not start on a record breaking spree and it was Sunday when it came into its own and continued record breaking run on Monday. The records are likely to be broken for sometime yet and may possibly be on for the highest gross ever though the next few days will tell more.
The business on Sunday and Monday has been universal apart from Bihar which has not really come on board but other areas which started below the mark like Gujarat and UP are now collecting very well.It already become highest non hloiday grosser @indicine pls confirm.
According to boi 21 cr and producer fig 21.22 now question arises is boi reportes currectly or they only go hard towards bang bang hny …if boi gave around 18 + then we all know…in hny case second day first come around 37 by indicine itself but aftwr seeing boi numbers come down to 31+…so for big movies really need boi help bcoz it does not mean that only amir movies producer are honest and others r ?????

PK is going strong and with Christmas and New year around the corner, 300Cr domestic collections can’t be ruled out. Whatever negativity trends on Twitter, people are enjoying the film and that’s what important.

Anyone who is saying the collections are due to Hirani are idiots. In terms of fans following I don’t think aamir is anywhere near srk and sk but the general audiences including srk and salman fans trust him to deliver good movies and come in numbers to watch his movies. His reputation has grown and he is the opposite of what akshay kumar is because akki has strong fan base but general audiences think he will only do craps hence avoid his films .Aamir khan is undoubtedly the best actor among the current supper stars.Over 80% of his films are masterpieces.
