Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has a strong line-up of upcoming films which includes Rahul Dholakia’s Raees, Imtiaz Ali’s untitled film and Aanand L Rai’s next where he will be playing a very interesting character. All of those films feature him in the lead. However, there is one more film that has generated quite a bit of curiosity.
‘English Vinglish’ director Gauri Shinde has already started shooting for her second film, which will feature Alia Bhatt in the lead. Shah Rukh has an important role to play, but the actor has said it won’t be a lead role, neither will it be a small cameo.
“I should think it’s a proper role. The film is a little different from my other Hindi films. Most of my scenes are with Alia so, I keep coming in. It’s not a hero-heroine type of a film.” Khan said.
He added that it’s a slice-of-life film, very different from what he has done in the past.
“It’s a different slice-of-life kind of a film. It’s a different film for me because it’s not a typical ‘lead lead’ as such. I have shot for 49 days so, I must be having a good role” SRK said.
Co-produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and Dharma Productions, the untitled film is expected to release in theatres this year. Currently, it doesn’t have a release date.

This will be interesting and something different with him not playing the normal “hero” role.
All his upcoming movies look interesting but the most exciting one seems to be the Anand Rai movie. Love Anand Rai movies which are simple and yet very engaging. And SRK will be probably trying something different again (from what I have heard he will be playing a person with shorter height – less than 4 feet). So that one is the most awaited.
I think Alia Bhatt is the main lead in this movie . Gauri Shinde showed her class with English Vinglish . I don’t think this movie will release this year and it should not release this year as Fan has failed big time . I do not have any expectations from this movie even though I loved EV . This movie will release in 2017 and considering SRK is playing a supporting role or a cameo this movie will release on Non Holiday .

Shahrukh Khan was recently seen in Fan which was a thriller. Now he is gearing up for his next film Raees which is expected to release this year. There are reports that he has given a nod to atleast five films. In a recent interview with DNA, SRK talks about the films on his platter and why he isn’t starting his next at least till July this year.
Taking about Raees, SRK said, “Raees has been shot. I will just watch the film in a few days now. I am really looking forward to this film’s release. It has got great dialogues and has some terrific performers like Nawazuddin, Mahira, Zeeshan…It’s not completely action but it is very intense. There are about four-five action sequences, but they are not stretched. It’s not like ki fight ho rahi hai and khatam hi nahi ho rahi. But yes, it’s very hard-hitting, very different from Fan. When Raees fights, he is going to win. You don’t fight with Raees.”
Fan star also revealed about his next project with Aanand L Rai in which he plays a dwarf.
“Our VFX team is working on it. And Aanand is working with them. It will need tightening. We will do it once and fail, maybe. But we will get it right because it has been done previously. I think it has been tried in The Hobbit. But we have never used that technology in India. I would have a problem if I have to do it on my knees. I am trying to avoid that part because that looks unreal and in today’s time and age, you don’t want to do that. So we are trying to figure out and we are doing R&D already. Aanand has a collection of ideas about what we have to do. If need be, we will figure out how to do it abroad and then bring it here. I have Imtiaz Ali and Aanand’s film now. Films are difficult till you start them and then explore and find out
“I am on holiday now. Both the filmmakers of mine are beautifully laidback. Imtiaz and Aanand. (Smiles) So maine bol diya hai. Tumhe jab shuru karna hai tum kar lena. They are still working on it and to be honest, it’s not that I finalise a script and say, ‘This is not okay’. I think they themselves still have a few things to fix up.
And of course, there are song recordings too. So, I don’t want to start a film because of my knee. I want to take few months off till June and get my leg in shape. So June tak nahi ho gaya khair. Maybe, July. But I still don’t know whose film I will start first — Aanand’s or Imtiaz’s.”
Revealing about Imtiaz ALi’s film he said, “We are actually just on the cusp of finalising the whole film. I think, in another month’s time, we will announce it. Imtiaz is getting the technical team ready. He is deciding who has to do what first, apart from the stars. He’s casting the whole film and the technicians. So in another 10-15 days, we will make the announcement. Abhi toh title bhi nahi film ka! I am not playing a Sikh and it’s not a comedy. None of these stories are true.”
He also wished his desire to make Ra. One sequel. “Let me make one more VFX film and then I will make it, Inshallah!”
However the actor denies being part in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next. He also said that he is not doing a film with Shimit Amin either.
Shahrukh Khan also revealed that Aditya Chopra is planning a film for him. “Adi has a plan of a film. But he has not narrated it to me. Just like that, one day he will tell me. He has already told me that once he finishes Befikre, he will start writing that film. It will only happen maybe next-year end. It’s a big project is what he has told me.”

In India there is no place for “something different”.north indians need item songs, masala craps etc.. SRK-ANAND L RAI movie will be path breaking project… in kerala there is lot of north Indians working here. most of them didn’t like FAN( reason was songless movie)..pathetic mind… But in south most of them loved FAN.. we need something different..
