Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has a strong line-up of upcoming films which includes Rahul Dholakia’s Raees, Imtiaz Ali’s untitled film and Aanand L Rai’s next where he will be playing a very interesting character. All of those films feature him in the lead. However, there is one more film that has generated quite a bit of curiosity.
‘English Vinglish’ director Gauri Shinde has already started shooting for her second film, which will feature Alia Bhatt in the lead. Shah Rukh has an important role to play, but the actor has said it won’t be a lead role, neither will it be a small cameo.
“I should think it’s a proper role. The film is a little different from my other Hindi films. Most of my scenes are with Alia so, I keep coming in. It’s not a hero-heroine type of a film.” Khan said.
He added that it’s a slice-of-life film, very different from what he has done in the past.
“It’s a different slice-of-life kind of a film. It’s a different film for me because it’s not a typical ‘lead lead’ as such. I have shot for 49 days so, I must be having a good role” SRK said.
Co-produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and Dharma Productions, the untitled film is expected to release in theatres this year. Currently, it doesn’t have a release date.

Yes, that can be termed as an “Extended cameo”.
It’s crystal clear from the very beginning that SRK doesn’t have a full fledged role in that movie. So I am not excited for Gauri Shinde’s next.
But Anand L Rai and Imtiyaz Ali movies will definitely bring the neutral audiences back to SRK .
Waiting for every good cinema , and if its come from SRK , toh kya kehna.

Holly wood will finish Bollywood.. so stop targeting SRk and other khans films. Remember the time no one watched crap Bollywood movies around the world. SRK went to goa to shoot for it and it took 4-5 days not more than that.

@Indicine, Srk confirms that he is not in a lead role in Gauri Shinde nxt neither will it be a small cameo (just like Billu), but I want confirmation from your side that is it Srk movie or not, whether you count it in his success ratio or not please confirm this now before release, otherwise you change your decision after the BO result just like you did at the time of BILLU….If it gets success in Box Office you will say “it’s Srk film” and if it fails in BO then you will say “it’s not Srk film he is just doing a Cameo in movie” so please confirm whether it’s Srk movie or not??
