‘MS Dhoni: The Untold Story’ is not sustaining as well as it was expected to, during the weekdays. The film was down on Monday and fell further on Tuesday, which isn’t a positive sign as far as the long terms box office prospects of the film are concerned.
After a outstanding first weekend, there was hope that the film would perform well for the next 2-3 weeks. There is a film like ‘Mirzya’ lined up for release this week, but apart from that the next major releases are ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ and ‘Shivaay’ this month end (Diwali).
The trend suggests, ’MS Dhoni: The Untold Story’ will end its first week with business of around 94 crore (all versions). The lifetime total depends on how well it holds on Friday, but it’s unlikely to enter the Top 3 highest grossers of the year – which are Sultan (302 cr), Airlift (129 cr) and Rustom (128 cr).

Pretty average not that great movie. If we look at Indian cricket player than yuvi biopic will be epic he has done a lot to keep audience goosebumps. Hope yuvi biopic will be made in future.
Now the disadvantage of taking a lesser popular star like sushant is coming.
And 7.5 on Tuesday is quite good as it had way above expected weekend, definitely 140 above. Superhit.

First weekend is due to curiosity among audience to watch dhonis story on big screen then content takes over.I think this is neeraj pandeys weakest film till date.now its sure that it won’t cross airlift to become second highest grosser.
WOM is mixed. lifetime collections will be around 120 crores. verdict will be semi hit bcoz of huge budget.

This shows that while Neeraj Pandey’s movies get good reviews, he isn’t the type of director whose movies are widely accepted by the audience. S26 and Baby were not very successful at the BO, and were flops on TV, and MSD was a rage on the weekend because of the man himself. When time came for the content to talk, it faltered.
Btw, Rustom wasn’t a Neeraj Pandey directorial, so don’t bring that into this conversation.

If SRK decides to release the Ring on Independence Day, I can guarantee that the clash will be won, a big section of the audience just does not like Neeraj Pandey movies.

collections are good enough though, with less no. of shows due to its long runtime. audience has to think to take out around 4 hrs of their time to go and watch this movie..i think it will again collect well during the weekend
