Kaminey Box office opening

Kaminey was expected to open to huge numbers during its opening weekend run at the box office but unfortunately, with multiplexes in two major cities – Mumbai and Pune – remaining shut over the weekend, the figures do no justice to the pre-release hype.

Compared to other biggies the opening isn’t huge, but business over rest of India has been terrific. The film has done good business both in multiplexes and single screens, recording close to 85% collections on Day 1 of its release.

Kaminey has netted close to 6 crores on Friday. Business on Saturday, being a holiday (Independence day), was great and the film is expected to do very well on Sunday too.

Expected weekend nett gross (excluding Mumbai and Pune) should be close to 18 crores.

The problem however, is the piracy and to what extent it could affect collections in Mumbai when it does eventually release.

movie is good but in process of being fast narrative it goes very confusion and ambigios at some places specially when the murder sequence starts in hotel otherwise movie is worth watching and doesn’t allow u to make any guesses thru out the movie

kaminey is the best. OMG!! I`ve waited to see the movie since july 2008 OMG!! and I really very wished that Kaminey would be a blockbuster and omg! it is woohooo go Shahid you`ll win the best actor award 2010 Xd Love u Shahid!!! Love from Sweden<33
